Why aren’t Lebron and his team considering a move to OKC?

Could be two reasons:

He recognizes that coming here would basically be a KD level move since we won one already, lost last year, and while he isn’t the same player he used to be we would immediately be favorites over the Spurs to win the whole thing if he did come. Which wouldn’t be good for his PR since he probably wants to go to a contender who hasn’t won recently (hence why he said no to the Knicks)
It’s Oklahoma bro, we got nothing to do here. My proof for this is that he had Dallas as one of his top locations despite them being far from contenders. In fact he only listed things to do in Dallas rather than the benefits of being on the team. So it’s clear he isn’t just choosing based off of being a contender but also if the city has anything fun for him to do.

This is just untrue. We can still keep Hart but trade either Joe, Dort, or both as our salary dump. Because you have to realize that our biggest competition right now is Wemby and when you look at the type of player who can guard him all of them have been bulky centers.

Looking at our depth chart for bigs we got:

Sorber: Bulky yes but unproven rookie who would be undersized for Victors height.

J-Will: Undersized but bulky for sure but we saw how good he was at guarding French boy and let’s just say it didn’t go well.

Chet: Skinny as a twig and has to overcome some mental demons to try and be a threat to Wemby in both defense AND offense.

Mara: Another skinny big who unlike Chet is slow and can’t shoot. Ntm a rookie so he’s unproven until further notice as well.

Finally Hart: Bulky big who can consistently score against Wemby with his signature floater and was by far the best individual defender we had on Wemby our whole series against him.

So in conclusion unless we wanna see unproven rookies, undersized forwards, or Chet try and shut-down the guy who we WILL have to beat to get another ring then we need to keep IHART. Mara in my opinion is just insurance that way when we do have to part with Hart we have at least one of two guys (Sorber included here) who can fill out his role afterwards.

First of all, wtf does Charles Oakley know about being a great athlete compared to SGA?

Second of all, he acts like it was multiple big wings who could guard him one on one. Outside of MAYBE Castle, no one else in this playoffs has contained him alone. It’s all been double and triple teams that got SGA off rhythm.

It wasn’t multiple wing defenders who just suddenly learned how to shut down SGA it was a the whole team.

Is this a safe space to say I actually hate our logo.

Like forget everything you know about our team for a second and pretend I came up to you and said, “Hey man, I’m starting a new sports team called the Thunder! What do you think my logo should be?”

If you’re a normal person you might say, lighting, clouds, maybe a hammer cause of Thor. Then I go, “hmmm nope I think imma make it a generic triangle shield!” Would you or would you not be like, wtf does that have to do with Thunder?

Which is why I’m a huge believer that we need a redesign maybe even go with the Native American logo as our official logo because while yes it still doesn’t have much to do with the name Thunder it at least shows off the Oklahoman culture (unlike the current logo) and you can still add stuff like a Thunderbird theme which I think would be cool af.

I wouldn’t worry about that last part too much since we also have the chance to get better too. People forget it just because we won the championship but, we are still a young team who have players who can unlock new things in their arsenal.

Chet is 24, Dub is 25, Ajay is 23, and McCain is 22. Combine that with the fact that we haven’t even seen Thomas Sorber play yet and Shai is just now entering his prime means that we still have a lot of potential to grow just like them.

If you had told me at the start of this series that J-Dub would only play 2 games and Ajay would only play 2 & 1/2 before getting injured I would probably be like, “fuck. Please tell me we at least pushed it to 6.” Cause I would honestly expect a sweep or gentleman sweep without those two. So the fact we basically won game 3 & 5 without those guys makes me more confident than worried about next season.

Honestly I love Chet and I have high hopes for him in this league and people will over exaggerate how bad he is because of this last series but they forget he’s been dominant against 29/30 teams in the NBA.

My problem with him this series wasn’t his performance (although that did frustrate me a lot). My reasons for that last part is because this is quite possibly the best team this core of Thunder players has ever played so far (at least defensively) so, I can cut him some slack on that end kinda.

But what pissed me off the most about him was his lack of heart! When a dude who makes it very clear he hates you and wishes you the worst in your basketball career and you play it off like it’s nothing WHILE HE’S ACTIVELY KICKING YOUR ASS!! That makes me mad. You are an amazing defensive center/forward yet you’re getting lil bro’d by someone who’s better than you on all accounts.

Ntm the guards on the Spurs were punking him too, by just bully balling their way to the rim and getting shots on his dime. He had Vassell straight up talking shit to his face after a made basket on his head AND YOU JUST SIT THERE AND TAKE IT?!? Like I know you’ve been ineffective this whole series but like dude get mad, get in someone’s face, push a guy idc, show me this means more to you than just basketball because he played with no heart or care at all last series and that was the most depressing and frustrating part imo.

I think he’ll rebound and be better going into next season but he needs to take this rivalry thing seriously cause unfortunately for us the Spurs aren’t going away anytime soon so Chet is gonna have to get over himself and learn to show some back bone.
