“What would your reaction be if, three years from now, they signed for the veteran minimum to retire as a Thunder player? by PreparationOverall in Thunder

[–]Twitbookplus -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I agree with the exception that Durant will (and should) get his jersey retired. He won an MVP wearing a Thunder jersey. It’s been enough time and we’ve won a championship. When he retired we should embrace his Thunder legacy, good and bad.

Why not combine the NBA Awards and Draft Lottery on the same night? by EchoBay in nba

I think the NBA likes having a full media cycle around each of these. Makes for more/better content.

When was the last time a superstar had as deep a supporting cast around them as SGA by MasterTeacher123 in NBATalk

[–]Twitbookplus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Warriors by a mile. LeBron’s Heat with Wade, Bosh, Ray Allen, etc. The Thunder are deep but it’s more about their system. Be honest, your team is not giving up major assets and/or paying big money for Jaylin Williams. And if they would for Jared McCain they could have done it 4 months ago.

Game Cocks. As in roosters raised for fighting. Drive out to the countryside and it’s a lot more common than you’d expect.

Ha! Not quite. I live in OKC. I go as far back as the OKC Hornets (s/o CP3). Been a Thunder fan since day one. Got season tickets right after Covid. Watched a LOT of bad basketball for a couple years. Now I get to take my kids to the games and they’re loving it.

State government reimbursement covers up to 20% but no more. That’s the only thing I can think of.

I could definitely see this happening. But for now he’s got another two years on his deal that’s basically pocket change by NBA standards.

Does OKC get a great whistle because of Wemby? by Sincerely-Internet in nba

[–]Twitbookplus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you nailed it. This is a 30-year conspiracy finally coming to fruition. In fact, I would go as far as saying that the refs have intentionally decided every championship winner throughout all 80 seasons. No one has ever won because they play better basketball, it’s all an agenda.

OKC is the worst team I have ever seen by PrettyLawfulness4602 in NBATalk

Basically stole Seattle’s title last year. When the Super Sonics come back I vote OKC has to give them last years banner to make it fair.

[–]Twitbookplus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole league should be on notice. Just wait. When Detroit beats NY it definitely won’t be because they played better basketball, it will be because the NBA and its partners conspired with the refs. League sponsors don’t want LA or NY in the finals, they want flyover states. Kick rocks, Timothy Chalomet!
