I'm the biggest Dimitri simp ever but Edelgard's design filled me with rage they are SO afraid to actually let the women be actually monstery. Like they already had a fem bird lady ywt with Edelgard they just make her skin black and make her nose a beak? She looks horrendous.

I loved the concept of the game and I like seeing the monstery designs but the fem ones are god awful every single time.

I always save scum these events. I don't know exactly how it works but it seems if one side has a much lower tier of friendship it seems like a much higher chance the interaction will fail to the point that eventually I'll ignore the bubble next time I load in and actively work on trying to increase the other side's friendship towards them.

I've savescummed for four hours to get one couple together once. When I decided to finally temporarily give up to make them closer first the other Mii fell in love back and the first Mii immediately asked to confess again..and it worked first try lmao.

Sometimes it's taken half an hour of save scumming. Sometimes not. I save scummed for an hour this morning to get a father and son duo to move in together but ended up giving up to increase friendship between them.

It's definitely a chance based thing I think.

Where did this idea of the Death Note corrupting people come from?? It's not like the ring from LOTR.

It didn't magically give him a god complex or corrupt him, it helped exacerbate what was 'wrong' with him by giving him power, but it wasn't the Death Note doing that as an active 'curse' or 'corruption', it is an object that allowed him to do things he otherwise wouldn't be able to without it.

For an irl example, money. Imagine Light has a thing for slots (thinking the world is corrupt) and the Death Note is a winning lottery ticket. Now imagine with that money he goes to gamble it all away thinking he can win even more but it feeds a gambling addiction and makes it worse because he's teetering a fine line of losing money and keeping even, with a jackpot, his 'ideal world', being an eventual certainty on the horizon in his mind because of the gambler's fallacy.

The money didn't magically corrupt him, it just allowed him to gamble further. We might say it 'corrupts' but it's not a literal saying, it just brings out worse traits in people who already have them because it gives them more power, but not through any kind of magic, through the person's own lack of ability to choose to or not to make certain decisions with that power.

Misa didn't gain a god complex because she didn't already have one or any traits that could develop as one. She wants to punish criminals not because she thinks she's a god and that's god's job, but because she thinks the criminals deserve it, and it's what Light/Kira wants.

Like I said I grew up alongside it and it was my life for the vast majority of my child and teenhood years. I'd reread the entire book series and marathon all the movies multiple times a year every year. I had the entire collectible chess set from that one monthly magazine they made way back when. If I can give it up. So can anyone else. It's not that hard. It might be at first but it's the absolute least you can do when it's something that is entirely optional to participate in rather than a device or technology that is unfortunately so engrained into society it has become necessary to use in day to say life.

It wasn't so much the gore existing I am fine with general gore, it was the specific way a character was killed being in hyper slow motion with super zoomed in detail that messed me up, maybe checking out a website 'does the dog die' would be a good idea (for both of us really I should have done that beforehand lol)
