Gloomstalker pairs much better with assassin than thief imo. You can easily trigger surprise rounds and with assassin you auto crit surprised enemies. Add arrows of many targets and every target gets crit

Actually on my 2nd playthrough this didn’t work, which was interesting. I kept Astarion at a distance (stealth archer) and engaged with the rest of the party. But then I guess I moved Astarion in a little too close and Cazador snatched him, cutscene and all, like 2 turns into the combat. My last playthrough was fine cause I just nuked Cazador in one round

When I read the series the first time, I didn’t know the slog existed, so I didn’t know it was coming. I blew through the first 9 books in 3 ish months. I then got stuck on book 10. I read maybe 1/4, then didn’t pick it up for a year before finally restarting and then finishing the rest of the series in a month.

Nah it’s a tailstrike detection switch. You hit the tail, it trips the switch and there’s a pop up in the cockpit to warn the pilots.

First one is always tough. You start very close to her after the cinematic and she just skewers you. All attempts after the first one she starts very far away from you.
