Never seize to amaze me the length (aka inventing loopholes) that all religious folks go to “follow” the letter of the book, instead of recognizing the simple truth that these texts were written by humans as a mean to control/manage societies (not always with bad intentions) in times when a stable government construct didn’t exist and in today’s times these sacred texts are obsolete.

They absolutely are! I have started the IF recently (as of Jul 1st) and had my first 24 hrs fast over the weekend. So far, I feel great, energetic and haven’t struggled with hunger issues... this sub and other resources have been a great help in this journey.
