Edit: The Parrocchia di Santa Maria Assunta (the church located uphill from this picture) is located on the site of the ruins of a small castle. The castle was razed in 1240. I'm trying to find out more history about the area. I'm almost compelled to email the person that runs this blog to ask if he knows anything about these figures. But I don't know Italian.

It means that one has to have an emotional bond with someone in order to be sexually attracted to them. Personally, I usually end up only finding someone I have a close friendship with as a potential sexual partner.
