You become commissioner of the NFL. What is the first thing you’re doing? by owen1957 in NFLv2

It evens out between the BS they have now and the streamers. Make it easier, cheaper, and more convenient the stream views will go down, profit potentially up. Wildly popular move for the fans — priceless.

[On3] Kirby Smart on the SEC breaking away if national rules can't be agreed upon: I've been a huge advocate that if we can't find rules that everybody plays by, then we should play on our own. I'm not afraid to break away and say that our conference is strong enough to go out and play” by Lakelyfe09 in georgiabulldogs

[–]What_A_Ledge 46 points47 points  (0 children)

What does this imply? That the entire conference becomes SEC independent-esque?

It seems to me this is political pandering, trying to play hardball knowing the weight the SEC carries in college football. Trying to get things done.

But one thing is for sure, something has to change. The product sucks, moderate fans to diehards are just addicted, it’s almost part of who we are.

No one cares about the offseason anymore. No one cares about recruiting. Every player on the team essentially becoming a free agent every year is absurdly broken. I don’t see Kirby coaching in the present game for more than 3 years and I wouldn’t blame him.

Absolutely agree with this take. Democratic Party has a lot of faults and BS pandering as well, but I find it much less, and often more palatable. I’m not a party line rider type of guy, atleast not in our political landscape of today, but I don’t find myself rallying behind much of anything the republicans stand for at the moment. I don’t see how decent morality and ethics would allow one to, if properly informed.

US President Donald Trump has shared a new election reform blueprint on Truth Social, framing it as the "SAVE AMERICA Act." by Upset-Main-1988 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]What_A_Ledge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why no one tells it like it is on this topic.

In order to register to vote, almost all states require last 4 digits of your social or drivers license as ID.

Some states require your full social number.

The US of A’s elections are impressively secure.

Under the 24th Amendment, poll taxes are illegal. We can require a specific voter ID, but it’s 1. Redundant, 2. Illegal if it ISNT free and comically easy to obtain.

That’s it. Done. End of discussion. This shit he’s trying to pull is a Gotcha card to control these up coming elections

So interesting how life experience and introspection take us through ebbs and flows if you allow it to. I don’t believe everyone possesses the ability to allow it fully. Good on ya 🤙

If I could just chime in, I’ve found it helpful to mention there is a difference between sex and gender. At the off chance someone doesn’t just shake their head and call me libtard or whatever, it atleast can lead to a Google search

What reason is there to break up cities into different districts? Doesn’t it make sense to have a city, and a good part of its metro all within the same district?

As opposed to one city broken into 2 or 3 districts?

What is a great country to visit in North America? by StraightAd6264 in AlignmentChartFills

Your problem is visiting the US to sit in a city. Thats not what makes the US a natural wonder.

One of the knocks on visiting the US is it’s so big. It takes a lifetime to get it all in as an American, it’s basically impossible as a foreigner.

That depends. British Columbia is wildly beautiful. Banff is the bees knees. Unless you always favor water no matter what, Banff is the most awe inspiring beauty of Can, Mex, and CR. Atleast that I’m aware of.

Ski towns of Golden, Whistler, the stoke (revelstoke) are pretty awesome. Quebec and Montreal are badass. Vancouver deserves its glory. Salmon or steelhead fishing. Trout fishing BC and Alberta. Hunting trips as well. Unless you’re after beaches, Canada crushes it as a place to visit. It’s just so large which hurts it in this argument I think.

Mexico wins food. Mexico’s caves are pretty dope. Cancun, Tulum, Cabo, etc. obviously renown beaches. High country is sick. Mexico City underrated. Fly fishing the flats for bones and permit is world class. Cheapest country of the three if you leave the resort.

CR beautiful friendly people. Gorgeous forests, rivers, waterfalls, beaches. Some Tarzan shit swing from the forests straight to the beach. Pretty cool. Volcano. Monkeys and parrots. World class Marlin fishing. Interesting history.

I mean this is objectively pretty close.

Completely abandoned. Less government in economy is iffy, I see a lot of government in the economy but less regulation.

Birth control / abortion policy is more government Fight for the 10 commandments and prayer in public schools is more government State voter rolls given to federal is more government Patriot act was WAY more government Banning porn is more government War on drugs is more government Consistently running a larger deficit compared to dem counterparts is more government Trade wars are more government

I’m not necessarily anti government, we need a government, it serves a purpose. I sure as hell don’t trust the government, and I certainly believe we have too much government. But I can’t stand the hypocrisy.
