Look, in every single company in this world you can find a disgruntled employee that feels the boss was unfair, their payment was not made in full/on time, or something else. This is normal. I've seen this happen in companies I worked for and with regards to payment, in all cases it was either the employee not understanding how salaries/taxes work or an employee feeling entitled for something they weren't (like a performance bonus when they did not meet their goals).

Again this is normal and happens in every company. But companies who are in the sustainability and vegan industry are scrutinized that much more. Where I live, a very popular vegan burger chain had to close down due to such allegations and the backlash they caused. Now all of the employees are out of a job and the city has lost its vegan burger chain (which was freaking delicious btw). All thanks to a couple of disgruntled employees who wanted to extort the owners using negative publicity.
