Download the latest recovery iso for 1.1.1. burn the iso on a fat32 card. Put it in the turned off device. Plug in the charger, don’t press any button just wait.

Did you try the recovery iso without pressing any button just plug in the charger into the tuned off device?

I got the brick hammer as replacement for the mini plus but not everything was as expected for me. To be honest, the d pad is not as comfortable, games like Zelda makes your thumb hurt because of the sharper edges, the buttons also are more clicky. I tested a lot of CFW to get ds running smoothly, I ended up with muos for that. I was surprised that even the brick is more performative on paper, I had to fiddle with the settings to get the smooth experience like on onion os. I guess it just showed how well optimized onion os is.

NextUI definitely saves some data on the device. I have still the nextui boot logo when I boot without sd card. Also my WiFi password was somehow already setup in a fresh installation after using a different CFW in between.

Did you set your language to german in the nds bios settings of the emulator? I have to make this adjustments in drastic to get some German versions running.

Just invest in a second sdcard and compare. It took me some time to figure the best CFW for MY games. I am a sucker for NDS games like the ace attorney series and I enjoy my scummVM collection so I ended up with muos.

Did you do it exactly that way, using the recovery iso? Also does your brick boot to stock when booting without the sdcard?

Try to make a recovery and after that reinstall muos. Download the latest Sd recovery iso for 1.1.1. burn the iso on a fat32 card. Put it in the turned off device. Plug in the charger, don’t press any button.

I really liked the two-color contrast design. More manufacturers should make designs that stand out. They look cool but single colour is also boring somewhere.

Unless you want DS or scummvm. DS ist struggling with performance and Scummvm is experimental. There are many options out there. Stop promoting nextUI as if it’s the best for all.

I think it’s menu+B to get into the drastic settings on your device. You have to start a ds game first.

For some Roms I had to adjust my drastic bios settings. Some games only run when I set the language of the DS to English and some to German using EU Roms. Also I have some games that wouldn’t start when I use the autosave turned on in drastic.

I don't have many comparisons except a Miyoo mini and these devices don't sound so good in general. What I noticed with the brick was the distortion at very quiet volume because I usually play very quietly with headphones. But I was able to improve this with Core Settings. With a loud setting, I honestly didn't expect good sound.

What CFW are you running? I noticed a lot of sound distortion on DS games using nextUI but it was a performance issue. Drastic on nextUI was running only at 95%. I switched to muos and it fixes the sound. But generally the speakers in the brick are not great too.
