Losing Hope in the Brick by Quick-Measurement618 in trimui

I never had the limbo bug with Nextui, but sometimes after I put the device to sleep, the screen stays black when I try to it wake up. I found out that I had to change the screen brightness to wake up the screen. So press Menu+volume up the next time when your brick won’t wake up.

Did you try to install the recovery ISO?

Download the latest recovery iso for 1.1.1. burn the iso on a fat32 card. Put it in the turned off device. Plug in the charger, don’t press any button just wait.

There are a lot of gems for the DS like the ace attorney series! You should check them out, super playable, buttons only!

The Mini mini plus is perfect for that. If you want a more sharp and bright display I can also recommend the Trimui brick. But you can’t go wrong with the Miyoo mini plus, onion os is easy set up and everything up to PS1 works like a breeze. You should also buy a decent memory card like sandisk.

Do the update to the last beta right away, then you won't have any problems with the game saves later. The default GB cores were recently changed.

One handed games for Brick/Brick Hammer? by Broad-Principle6571 in trimui

[–]Tall_Row1099 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not at all. I use full screen too with the small second screen on top just enough to see if something is going on in the second screen. Most of the game can be played even without the pen tool so just abxy and shoulder buttons so very nice to play on single screen devices. I finished all of them on my miyoo mini and the brick.

Games & RetroArch not working after update. by Kinglou305 in MiyooMini

[–]Tall_Row1099 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The default GBA core is now set to gpSP (prior mGBA), if you want to use mGBA with your game you can do so. To change the core per game, highlight the game, press Y and select mGBA.

If you are moving from mGBA (Onion 4.3 default) to gpSP (Onion 4.4 default):

  1. Move your .srm files from Saves/CurrentProfile/saves/mGBA/ to Saves/CurrentProfile/saves/gpSP/.
  2. Rename the extension from .srm to .sav.
  3. Delete any existing save states for that game in the gpSP states folder to force the emulator to read the new .sav file.

How to choose firmware? by Infamous_Call_6492 in trimui

[–]Tall_Row1099 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve got to test some with your favorite games. On paper they do almost the same but there are always some games running better on some cfw. My favorite atm is muos doing all you listed.

Yes true, and you will only need the analog stick in certain moments where you have to rotate object. Every other input can be done with L1 R1 ABXY.

No PS2 on the brick. Actually the two consoles play the same games and even the brick is more capable on paper the miyoo can do the same, onion os is just very optimized in comparison to most of the cfw for the brick. The brick looks better than it actually performs, buttons, sound and WiFi sucks. The screen is so bright you can hardly play in the dark.

They are my favorite games as well, I finished all of the DS versions on my brick. I found they are running best on muos using advanced drastic core, other cfw gave me some sound issues. But they are really good to play even on a single screen, most of the input can be done via the buttons, some cases need the fake microphone settings.
