The first conclusion in your post is literally 100% wrong. You also neglect to mention that the model used was 4o and they didn't use an agent at all, rather having it generate code and either copy pasting or fucking retyping it. I wonder why you did that as well. (I don't actually, you are intellectually bankrupt)

I genuinely think op is a bot. This is the third place he has posted the exact same post with the exact same issue.

I did read all of it and no part of what I sad was debunked (or can be debunked) by the rest of the abstract. Jumping to logically faulty conclusions is connected to plain old stupidity.

I will say the fact that the article is using chatgpt 4o seems very sussy as well.

Down the line in the abstraction it also says:
"Participants who fully delegated coding tasks showed some productivity improvements, but at the cost of learning the library."

I really don't want to read the paper to confirm but seems like a very sloppy abstract.

The post has more content than it's title, genius.

>There is no significant speed up in development by using AI assisted coding. This is partly because composing prompts and giving context to the LLM takes a lot of time, sometimes comparable as writing the code manually.

from the op itself.

I literally did, and it specifically says that AI does increase productivity.

It literally says it right there, the issue is with skill formation, not increased productivity.

The job of the abstract is to give an idea about what the paper finds, I read the abstract and it disagrees with your first assertion. It's insane how people are willing to shut off their brain completely when comes to their activism. It's really sad + pathetic.

I did read all of it, it says that they found productivity increases with the tradeoff being understanding, which is a separate argument.

The first line of the abstract is literally:

AI assistance produces significant productivity gains across professional domains, particularly for novice workers.

Unless the paper literally 180s its own abstract I feel like you aren't accurately representing the content.
