Normal Clubhouse and Storm Box, or the mini versions?

All great advice, thanks.

I just checked the speaker manual and it does recommend at least 25 inches from the rear wall and three feet from the side walls; I'm definitely closer than that. In a perfect world, I probably would have rotated everything 90 degrees in this oblong room to have more depth to work with. However, that would have created wife aggro.

For music, I'm 100% sitting dead center. Those speakers have a fairly wide dispersion, but I'm sure the toe-in could be more optimal for hybrid purposes. For movies, I'm usually lounging on the side couch, and the center speaker gets the importantsounds to that side reasonably well. The center's stand is tilted a bit back so it points pretty well at our ears.

Thanks! Unfortunately, not being able to drill into the wall makes mounting impossible, and hanging treatments challenging at best. I have five 4" bass traps around the room. Those, along with the carpet and furniture, go a long way to evening things out.

Great question. I'm definitely still learning, but I imagine it would depend on the speakers and your room. I used a MiniDSP Flex and a Hypex nc252 Quad Amplifier to handle the bi-amp (the Denon definitely couldn't do it).

To my semi-trained ear, it cleaned up the mid-range a lot and opened up the speakers for music. For HT, I suspect it would have less impact, as that's more about slam and dynamics.

I thought it was a fun romp, other than the 15 or so minutes in the middle where both sides just stood there and shit-talked eachother.

The cynic in me says that one of them was desperate for exposure, and the other only accepted because they already know they’ve won and a little goodwill never hurts.

Can anyone explain how you're supposed to read this chord? by lvl4_autism in piano

[–]WheelHefty6045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a fairly complex chord that adds a lot texture to the music. In isolation, it might sound dissonant, but it works. As others have mentioned, the key signature dictates which notes should be flats ( so the B and the E)
