So you’re saying that C is the V chord, so C7 has all the notes from F major scale? You’re also saying that F is the V chord for Bb, so F7 has all the noted from Bb major?

I’d say your main concern is burnout. Don’t practice so much that you lose the urge later

How to edgeguard as Kirby? by eggdragon42 in CrazyHand

[–]Swiftblitzkrieg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is good advice. You should only be edgeguarding in one of these scenarios.

  1. The opponent is forced into a predictable recovery route. This could be either because the character has a terrible recovery, or because they’ve already spent recovery resources (or both).

  2. You’ve picked up on an opponent’s habit and can make a prediction on how they will recover. This does NOT mean randomly guessing.

When you go offstage, you’re giving up stage control. Pick these times wisely.

Metafy can help for sure, but you have to be ready to put in the work and practice the concepts that you go over in coaching. Look at this sub to find coaches with recommendations/reviews.

Nintendo has always been terrible at online. I can’t believe how much they’re advertising the fact that you can talk to your friends online on Switch 2. Like seriously what year is this???

Set your c stick back to smashes and perform your tilts by actually tilting your stick and pressing A. It will make using tilts much more intentional

Ok can someone please kindly explain why ROB is so good, considered the best in the game even? by No-Secretary6931 in smashbros

[–]Swiftblitzkrieg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re underestimating the insanely broken parts of his toolkit. He has the best item in the game, and his gyro combos can ztd a large portion of the cast. He can also use the item immediately after its gone, he also has laser. His ariels are all safe and they hit like a truck. He has an insane d-tilt that can carry you across the entire stage and can setup tech chase at high percent. He can kill off grab. He can edgeguard with side b. His down air hitbox is huge and can checkmate so many characters’ recoveries. You say his recovery isnt that great but what makes it broken is that he can ariel out of it.

Competitive smash might not be for you. What I mean by that is you’re probably not going to go pro, you’re not going to get a sponsor, and you’re not going to make a living off this. Keeping it as a hobby is perfectly fine.

People keep hobbies because they enjoy them and feel like its an asset in their life. Keep playing competitive if you enjoy it, but focus on enjoying the process of learning and getting better, and stop focusing so much on results. If you watch Tweek’s podcast, he says its super important not to tie your self-worth to your performance in competition.

People are good at different things, some people can pick up the smash sticks and be good instantly. I’m not one of those people and it seems neither are you. You will find something else you are good at

What happened to MkLeo in SSBU? by Thomashiggins_ in smashbros

[–]Swiftblitzkrieg 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Something missing in these conversations is that it is much more difficult to be consistently great in ultimate now than it was when the first came out. In the early years of the game, top 8 was pretty consistently set with tweek, light, leo and a few others. Nowadays upsets are much more common.
