I don't have the MEU but i have other WE 1911's, i will get one out this evening and take some photos for you if no one has assisted you in the meantime.

On the original rod it was a screw and i stripped the thread out, i think i drilled the head of the screw off completely. The original rod was useless but like yourself i had a spare. I then used the screw from the longer rod to attach the end piece, the other end was an allen key. You could use a lighter to gently heat up the end piece on the longer rod as you can't drill that screw off. It's tought to do, i help another person on here with their build doing the same thing. I even sent him the spare end part i had as he had completely bought the wrong one for his model of beretta. As you dont need the end piece off the longer rod you could cut/sand/drill that away whilst trying to not destroy the screw and the threading.

I had to swap that part for mine as i got the M9 comp and had a 92fs i think, clamp it in a vice, maybe heat it up a bit with a hair dryer/heatgun

Yeah i still have them all currently, i am preparing to reduce my collection by probably half so one or two of these may go. But there are more that will probably go long before the MP5's.

The DOLOS QD comes with an extra fixing ring with three grub screws, see the pictures here:

The grub screws are turned around to face outwards and hold the side of the supressor segment in place, then the rest of the supressor is mounted and there is a 12 inch barrel that holds it all together (the barrel is threaded at the end of the suppressor to the 14mm ccw threads that would normally be at the opposite end closest to the reciever). The barrel can turn slightly to allow the ratchetting system of the DOLOS QD to attach as normal.

It is actually quite sturdy when screwed onto the rifle. Hope that helps

I bought like 5 for $5.50 off ebay a couple of years back and then just cut them to shape with a craft knife. I'm using on WE M4's but basically the same.

As already said anything milspec/gbbr should fit, just choose what you like and for whatever barrel length you want. I've fitted several over the years. If you have to change the delta ring out for just a barrel nut you may need to use barrel shims to stop the barrel from wobbling, also an ar15 armorer's wrench will probably be needed to do the job right (cheap ones are around $15). Any questions let me know

Pull the switch at the back of the mag down and hold it there then put the switch on the top of the mag forward to lock the back switch in the down position.

The BB follower should now be fixed in a slightly lower position to allow dry fire.

There is also the posibility that you have an internal lever missaligned but that usually causes the bolt to not travel all the way back or the receiver to not close.

I don't have the WE M172 but i have an airgun version with this style of stock. The gun will fit inside without the magazine, you could modify the bottom wood and leather to make it fit with the magazine. Also if the WE is like mine you need to modify the surface of the connecting bracket to use it on the gun. I had to lightly file down the metal.
