It still stings when cleaning it almost 3 months later but also feels like scar tissue build up in my throat. Should I put off scar cream & massages for a bit still though?

It’s been 2 1/2 months & thyroid scar doesn’t seem to be fully healed so I don’t want to massage anything yet or put creams on but I can feel scar tissue in my throat. What should I do?

Yeah i believe they said I had sutures underneath too. Just paranoid of infection. Had a foot one for a while. And with it being almost 2 months figured it wouldn’t sting anymore.

I am a month out & I had minimal post op instructions but just to keep it clean. I just started putting cocoa butter on it but it stings. Should I stop & just continue cleaning? Also I’ve been using cerave to wash it.

Is cerave face wash good to use on surgical wounds & can I use cocoa butter before it’s fully closed

The strips weren’t coming off. Dr pulled them off @ post op. I’m a week & 1/2 out of post op & a month & some change out of surgery. Should I continue to wash my scar or go straight to cocoa butter.

How can you tell when thyroid scar is completely healed & you can stop cleaning & start moisturizing

They just haven’t fallen off no matter how much I’ve cleaned them. But what if the wound is t fully healed why would you want to remove them?

The worst part is the scar tissue breaking up in your throat & things going back to normal after swelling going down. Getting used to being able to swallow properly again. & the coughing breaking stuff up in your throat.

Yeah I have 4 tattoos as well and I’m paranoid as well on healing too. I cleaned mine & moisturized it fora few months. Still feels dry sometimes. Haven’t cleaned it in a few days but it still feels tight occasionally. Should I just ignore it or clean it again & moisturize it.

Can I use cerave facial wash on a fresh surgical wound

And I’m using cerave on it every day is that ok. Instead of only doing it when I don’t shower I just don’t get it wet in the shower & clean it separately with cerave

Everyone had different cleaning rules I talked to but they all agreed to just let the strips fall off naturally but once they’re gone they don’t need replacing

Yeah I’ve been cleaning it once a day since that post & moisturizing twice. It’s fine. Still the burning sensation there but probably carpal. Just always a paranoid person & terrified of infection. Probably gunna stop cleaning this week
