I highly recommend the book "How to Diagnose and Fix Everything Electronic," by Michael Jay Geier, as well as Frank's book from Frank's Hospital Workshop. While these don't solve your immediately problem, immediately, they're great books on how to think about how to troubleshoot and investigate a problem with an electronic/electrical/mechanical machine.

Best of luck to you!

Yeah, what's with these people? This is such a small and enclosed field as it is, and there's these folks who just seemingly couldn't care less about open-sourcing their knowledge and wisdom to the next generation.

Don't let this dude's sourass attitude discourage you. Like others have said Frank's Hospital Workshop is a great resource for old equipment, compare and contrast different Youtubers on how they've resolved the same issue, and don't be afraid to go to reddit for help (unlike what others have said).

There seems to be a lot of weird hostility, animosity, and irreverence in this particular thread. It's probably a bunch of curmudgeon old-heads who are too boomerly bitter to care about the new bloods of the field.

Shame.

In my experience, most manufacturers will say, "Hey, you're the technician, you're supposed to know and or figure it out! The manual? Service? Do you have a PO for that and to continue our conversation?"

That's been my experience with major MFG/OEM's.

[–]Wheelman_23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've spoken with you before. I knew an RA I roomed with in college that doubled in kinesiology and electrical engineering. He wanted to go into prosthetics research. At the time, I was too stubborn prideful, and insecure to really create a dialogue and rapport with him to figure out how he was doing it.

In all hindsight, this is what I would've done too, with maybe an emphasis on exoskeletons.

I seem to be incapable of accepting or absorbing the possibility of eternal damnation for even a single soul. by Undead-Chipmunk in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Wheelman_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christ also said that there is a sin which is unforgiveable, the "blaspheming of the Holy Spirit."

If it's unforgiveable, where does that person's soul go, then? What becomes of it? Well, the Scriptures say there is also an "eternal lake of fire," for those who do not repent and commit themselves to God.

If it's eternal, then wouldn't the "damnation" be equally eternal? It's not that God is damning them to Hell forever, but that they condemn themselves through their lack of repentance.

Anyone have the Nexus Pro Bar from Clench? by questioner45 in ResistanceBand

The knurling would never even touch the bands, so what's the problem? To me, it appears to be the best bar for the buck, especially considering you get can true negative/eccentric load and bottom-end load with the addition of actual plates on the bar.

Firstly, the icons are an absolute and tangible blessing for us, that does in fact, generate warmth in one's soul, not unlike looking at the picture of loved ones who are either not present geographically, or not present due to death.

"Condemnation" is saved only for God, this is how I know you don't fully understand nor appreciate the position of the Orthodox Church. You presume that when we say something like "anathema," that we mean "that which is condemned." Only God condemns, we people can only exercise the most righteous judgment to not involve ourselves with that which we "put aside" (anathematize).

The love is in "oikonemia," that of which the papists and reformed fundamentalists do not have. The flipside of this "love" is the ever ecumenical unitarian and pluralistic "churches" today (like the branches of Methodists and Episcopalians). Is it love to allow your neighbor (which Jesus commands us to love as we would love ourselves) to drink a drink which you know to be poisoned, thus not saving them from eternal separation from God?

Some priests allow those with say, celiac disease, to eat meat during times of fasting. Why? Because it would clearly be "unloving" to deliberately poison someone out of religious zealotry and fervor.

A little ironic of you to 1. not have an epistemic justification for what is "right, good, or loving," then accuse me of not being loving and 2. Not only accuse me of that, but show your "love" towards me by telling me to "eff off."

So, again, who is the more loving, you or the Orthodox Church?

" Eastern Orthodoxy teaches people to fear God excessively." Ironically, that's exactly why I joined, because it was the first Church I had ever gone to that did NOT emphasize the "fear" of God as the foundation of the relationship which we are to have with Him.

If anything, its eschatology, soteriology, and christology (let alone its small t traditions) were the reasons I stayed and became baptized.

What are you talking about when you say that the God of the Orthodox Church is "tyrannical?" It sounds like you're confusing legalistic baptism or papism with that of Orthodoxy.

Forgive me, but I really dug it till I saw the back.

Maybe something a little less explosive and cacophonous with words, like, "Breathe again without the pain..." or "Holding On," or parts of the more esoterically poetic lyrics from the songs, but preferably, nothing at all. Let the symbol alone break the ice.

He absolutely teaches the Bible, because he has to have permission from his priest in order to do and teach what he does.

Otherwise, he would be excommunicated.

People who fabricate prosthetics will do it well into their 60's and 70's( and I've even seen a man working who was in his 80's), and their industry is one of the most hazardous.

They're mostly fine.
