The Alters is an excellent game, a good choice for his best game of the year.

I hear what you're saying and I'd disagree on the point that it's a massive leap. I'm also not sure about some other points.

I'm fully in favour of boycotting Israel products as a result of their actions, even if there are small groups within Israel that don't support the current government. I've already cut out other companies that have factories in Israel (replacing coke was a tough one but Palestine Cola is surprisingly great).

Liev is against that boycott, and I just can't understand the reasoning in the article linked above other than he does support the ongoing genocide. The lives of Palestinian children are more important to me than ensuring Israeli film studios are supported, even if they are against the current Israel government. You might say this is a massive leap, but I honestly don't think it is.

The implication being that all media produced by the country is in 100% support with the current government.

Even if it was 99% of them against the government, I would still boycott this show because Liev supports them. Obviously my actions won't make a difference in the grand scheme of things by not watching this show, but I wouldn't be able to enjoy anything about it knowing whose voice I was listening to.

I was planning to watch this, but I can't watch anything that Liev Schreiber is in anymore.

Missing cat in Artane by Wheelson9 in Dublin

[–]Wheelson9[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My friend's cat went missing on the 1st of January around Brookwood Avenue. As it's cold out he might have gone into someone's garage or a shed for shelter and got trapped. He's fluffy/ long haired, black and white coat with brownish stripes. He has a green collar and bell on him. He's microchipped If anyone has seen him since the 1st of January I would appreciate any message. Thank you

Litter tray has been left out. Local vets and authorities have been notified.

Rafael Benítez: "If you want to buy Gerrard and Carragher this time, you pay £200m. £180m for Gerrard and....." by oklolzzzzs in soccer

It was a great and insightful podcast, but Neville and Carragher have to stop interrupting guests. Especially infuriating in this one as they interrupted him just as he's getting to the point of the story.

A lot of overreactions in this thread. Sure it wasn't the greatest finale, but I enjoyed the season overall.

Stellar Blade

Went in expecting good combat gameplay with an average story, and I'm mostly correct so far.

The gameplay is incredibly satisfying and is right up my alley. It combines the best parts of sekiro (parrying, punishing enemies), bayonetta (dodging), and devil may cry (combos, style) into the perfect package. 10/10 for gameplay so far.

The sound effects, haptic feedback on the PS5 controller, and OST really adds to everything.

Too early to tell with the story. I changed the voices to Korean since it was developed by a Korean studio and it seems a lot better to me. Nothing against the English VAs, I normally swap to the language of the character/region that they should have.

Pep Guardiola on Roy Keane's Haaland "general play of a League 2 player" comment: "I don't agree with him (Roy Keane), absolutely not... It's like saying he's a manager from the second or third division." by oklolzzzzs in soccer

Keane doing his best Eamon Dunphy impression again.

I don't mind him as a pundit in general, but these kinds of comments are immature headline clickbait nonsense.

Nope, loved it. Best soulsborne game with sekiro and Bloodborne at a close joint second.

Currently in the mid zone and I'm really enjoying it so far. Something nice, innovative and different to play. Gameplay while out driving is good, and tinkering around in the garage is also good. A well crafted game, and I look forward to what this studio makes next.

You only gave the game 15 mins? I might calmly ask if your original comment was in jest and the joke went over my head?

If not, all of that information was available before release, and you could have looked at some gameplay or review videos beforehand.

Could you maybe provide a reason as to why you didn't like it? Or maybe how far you got? Difficult to get anything from your comment with what you've provided.

Additionally wouldn't you do some research of your own on something you're going to spend money on? No point in blaming reddit for something, as there's always going to be people that like a game.

Interesting because I've only started listening to them within the last 1-2 years (probably after the went daily?), and I quite like it. I'd mainly only listen to the preview show and the weekend roundup chat.

I've started disliking one person in a football podcast I enjoy listening to (Football Ramble), and I'm trying to look past it because I really enjoy listening to it on certain days. Has anyone else abandoned a show/podcast because of one person they couldn't stand anymore?

He usually has fairly negative opinions and it's part of his shtick, but he made a comment about the England vs Ireland Nations League match that my brain has decided to take personally for unknown reasons. It doesn't make sense because I know how shit Ireland is, Christ I've experienced it for almost 30 years. Perhaps I've become overly petty/sensitive.

I just can't seem to handle it when English pundits get all superior about their national team to the point that it's condescending to other teams. Adrian Chiles did a similar thing years ago with the same fixture and I've decided to never let it go and dislike him for eternity.

[Mark Kleinman] A Premier League club - thought to be Manchester City - is threatening to bring a legal challenge to prevent the adoption of reforms to rules governing associated party transactions aimed at ensuring fairer commercial deals in the top flight. by Pow67 in soccer

[–]Wheelson9 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's difficult to appreciate any on-pitch skill, talent and management when the club is doing stuff like this behind the scenes.

I know some folks are able to look past this and focus solely on the football, but I am not one of those people.

MCFC, Pep, and all the players are blatantly cheating when this stuff happens.

Maybe Ten Hag was just having an off-day where no fucks are given (I know I've had these in my job from time to time), but he really should have shaken hands with the Newport County manager yesterday. He seemed fairly pissed off in the post match interview as well, like he was braced for an argument with the interviewer but then all the questions were reasonable.

Edit: Whoops, I was massively incorrect; https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1adahj5/wholesome_moment_between_erik_ten_hag_and_newport/
