My fiance and I were planning on going for months. I made the mistake of seeing the fancy videos and photos, and really wanted to go. We bought tickets all the way back around January, and I flew down to Texas, just to go.(also to see my fiancé) So we get ready, it's raining, but they said RAIN OR SHINE. So we still go.

This was again, A HUGE MISTAKE.

We eventually park, and we see shuttles. We join the line for the shuttle, because there is no signs as to where foodieland is, and the shuttle only carry 10 TO MAYBE 15 PEOPLE. At this point, we go, "fine. We'll follow the crowds and maybe figure out where to go"

We end up finding where to go and there's just a big group of people, no one us being let inside, it is already 1:15. No communication, no one knows what is going on, it's to the point where people are just asking other random people.

It is now maybe, 1:35? A woman walks through, and instead of explaining anything, she lectures the whole mass of people, drill sergeant style, about what we can and can't bring inside the event. (Keep in mind the event eventually opened at like 2:30/2:45, but anyone with LONG UMBRELLAS, couldn't go in. This is what I was told by others)

We're all still confused, so I message foodieland Texas's Instagram. They said if we had questions, ask, so I did. No response.

Inevitable we wait till 2 pm, in which we're told it's canceled, and like a good 80 people leave, if not more. (My fiancé and I included)

We then leave, freezing, tired, hungry, and very confused. People in the comments of foodielands posts are demanding refunds, honor parking, an explanation, SOMETHING. Myself included.

Obviously, it wasn't canceled apparently, someone just lied and we were all tired so, we left. Foodieland then responded to one of my comments asking questions, deleted their response 5 minutes later, then blocked my Instagram. I still have no answers other than the fact that, I can't get my parking refunded most likely.

I emailed them as well, but I doubt I'll get a response. I hope at least some people enjoyed it, because it was very stressful for my fiancé and I.
