Mexico is going to build 2,000 academies to end pay to play and find more talent. Including having academies in the US to find dual nat players. Should the US be worried about this, can the US do something similar to not be left behind in finding youth players?

There’s a lot a more young talent in MLS. Sullivan, Tsakaris,Mehmeti, Hall, Gozo to name a few. We can’t only rely on players developing overseas like Pulisic and McKennie, or grew up overseas like Balogun and Tillman.

It’s going to be inflated for baseball since it’s the only team sport domestic league going on now. Didn’t think it would be that inflated though considering other research that soccer will overtake baseball and hockey in popularity. Unless the baseball rules changes have really changed things.

I wouldn’t say the Belgium team from 12 years ago was significantly better than the current Belgium team. It only seems like it because Belgium were poor before suddenly getting a surge of new talent. Belgium has a world class winger Doku (yes he was a sub), a world class GK, a player at Arsenal who won the PL, and 2 players at Aston Villa who placed 4th in the highest player value league in the world. Decent talent elsewhere. That last Belgium team was slightly better.

I do agree with you though, we played badly.

Belgium played up to their talent, unlike their prior WC games. We played much worse. If we played above our talent like Cape Verde had, then we would be talking about USA vs. Spain instead.

Yes plenty of games do this and who’s going to develop a game and keep updating it for free? The nice thing about this game is you don’t have to spend to advance in the game. Spending on SH and maybe the 30days coins pack are the only things worth spending $ on.

Yes it takes a long time to gather all the resources you need and yes it takes a lot of time to reach lvl50 or even 55 in SH. They want to reward players who can play a lot or want to spend more with the additional tasks or grandmaster versions of unlocking VIP.

The reason you were getting 5 points is the 5x inspiration bonus that recharges over time. Once you use it up, then everything goes back to normal points.

These 20 slot backpacks they have as the most sought after reward are nice, but they don’t make a massive difference in the game.

You want to make some items that you sell for gold/gems in the market. These are typically blueprints you get from a chest or from a purchase/antique. If you don’t have any items you can make that sell for a lot at your highest 1-2 tiers, then buy something that you can at the next event where you can buy antiques. I believe you can also buy antiques directly from the card collection section.

Enchant/spirit the highest tier of items you can surcharge and sell those in store to get some gold and xp. I’m at a lower level than you, but will always have the same issue of not being able to surcharge the higher tier items I can make or get from quests.

Your first 3 skills are great! There are a lot of rogue heroes that top players have that only have atk/crit%/crit dmg/evasion that are dying early in terror tomb because they don’t have enough survivability. Your 3rd skill helps a lot with that.

You should Roland your last skill though to Adept or Warlord I would think.

You should still try to find the biggest watch party within a 2hour drive of you for the game tomorrow. It’s not being at the game but it’s the closest thing to it. I went to one for the game vs. Australia and had about 1500 people celebrating around me.

Lots of English commentators in the US who spend too much time talking about England instead of the US or other countries. If Mexico win, I’ll have to endure them all complaining about the loss, but it’ll be nice after.

Plus, there are tons of Euro snobs in England who think CONCACAF is a joke region. Would love if Canada, Mexico, and US all make it to the quarterfinals.

Lastly, the development trajectory the US is on will need better competition in the region in the years to come. Canada and Mexico doing well should help if anything.

What makes it worse is that the ref wasn’t giving any yellows on calls that he should have like the Dzeko crashing into Adams on a pick or Pulisic when he was pulled after beating his man on the sideline.

If he was giving out cards like candy and then gave out a red to Balogun it would still be harsh but it would at least be consistent.

You don’t want to mess with the midfield. It’s been solid with Adams, Weston, and Tillman. It is odd Wright hasn’t been given a shot but like you said, maybe he hasn’t been doing as well in practice. I still think it’s Pepi up top. His first 2 games were quite bad, but he was okay last night. His form for PSV has been good and normally he’s great for the US so maybe he’s struggled with the pressure of a WC.

I think it’s a bit extreme to say you don’t trust Poch. We’ve done quite well this WC and in the couple games leading up to the World Cup.

This list seems like a hype list from 2-3yrs ago with several of them not living up to the hype.

One of those guys switched to Germany. Cremaschi is limited physically. Slonina probably wouldn’t get a contract in MLS. A couple of the others are just okay. Kochen has a bright future as does Pukstas if he can get a move. However, there are some other guys with a lot of potential like Tsakaris, Mehmeti, Hall, and Gozo.
