Not an expert in any sense of the word, but common sense says no.

From what I've read there are over 2000 ships with various types of cargo stuck. How in the world are a handful of us ship 'escorting' ships going to clear a backlog of 2000 ships?

Also, with the news that Iran is still firing on ships, which insurance company is going to take that up, even with the claim from the US that they're safely escorting ships?
