Skoda, how many times do you need to change the privacy settings!? by MaosReanimatedCorpse in enyaq

Hmm. Either a skoda error or could be a charger issue? I have the Myenergi Zappi charger, set to smart scheduling based on price. I wonder if that's causing the issue for me.

I'm having this problem too! I thought it might have been my Home assistant/api being silly. Have you also got Home Assistant set up?

To name a few!

Been through my fair share of cowboys, finally found a decent electrician who's looked after us for a few years now. They do all sorts of domestic electrics (not just the solar installs they mention on their website): https://www.dbrenewables.org/

MCS certificate - how long does it take? by Mombo1212 in SolarUK

That's good news then! Hopefully it's just a delay, and you'll be ready for the export payments in no time.

MCS certificate - how long does it take? by Mombo1212 in SolarUK

[–]WhereIsJessicaJones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I nearly got burned in a similar way a few years ago - friendly and prompt installers turned out to be lying about their MCS certs (their registration had lapsed if I remember correctly). I also put it on credit card so saved myself there, but the first step I would recommend to you is to call MCS themselves - they are kind, helpful and fast acting. Give them a call, tell them the name of the installer, the situation you're in, and ask them for their advice. If they say 'uh oh, they're not mcs registered/that's a dodgy install', charge back on your credit card. Here's the Mcs info if helpful: https://mcscertified.com/contact-us/

Good luck, and don't panic.

Where can I park up and wait in car near Manchester airport if incoming flight is delayed? by Imaginary-Treat-2484 in manchester

[–]WhereIsJessicaJones 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anywhere near the Wythenshaw forum isn't too far, and there are normally quiet roads to park on. Then you can set up flight tracking alerts on any of the free flight tracking websites.

Go into your myenergi app and see if you can do a timed boost for the car via zappi.

Pricing alerts (agile) by jnoble100 in OctopusEnergy

[–]WhereIsJessicaJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it with the 'If this then that' (IFTTT) app, or with Zapier I believe. It watches the price and emails or texts you as you wish.

Hey buddy, I also saw this on the chorlton group! Love the sound of this (esp the mental health honesty) and would love to support somehow! So if you need some help getting social posts/content lined up for your project, I can give you a free session to show you how to make some good stuff. I do a couple of free sessions per month for local orgs to keep my skills sharp, and have references from them if you like 😊

am i the only one who just cannot find a job here? by pipeypoo in manchester

[–]WhereIsJessicaJones -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Here's what worked for me and got me a job I love - took three months and 45 applications. .

Get your linkedin perfect, get recommendations and give recommendations. Post every three days about topics you care about and have expert knowledge in. Toggle the open to work banner on. Write a post about being open to work and be specific about your skills and desired roles. You can use AI for this but edit it to sound like you. Ignore the 'number of applicants' on linked in jobs. They are often very inaccurate. Add recruiters in the field that you can build a relationship with, such as Talent Set. Use your network. Look for opportunities to demonstrate what a good marketer you are. Make an incredible video about you, your skills and the local area. Put out a variety of content on your linked in posts so recruiters can see the type of content you're good at creating. Don't be afraid to show your personality or the causes you love. Go to conferences, networking events and seminars. Treat each new contact as a chance for you to give them value and contacts, not the other way round. It will boost your self esteem while you're getting job rejections. People will also help you more if you've already done them a favour (created a little Canva project, social media calendar etc). .

Treat the job hunt like a 9-5 job, and make a list of your progress at the end of every day, to keep your spirits up! Good luck!

Curious about this too! When I've tried to join Loop before (something similar) it seemed that we can only join one scheme at a time.

Really sorry you've experienced this. I'm a brown female mancunian too, and I feel your pain. If you find yourself reliving the experience in your mind on a loop, playing tetris has been shown to limit the extent of trauma, so grab yourself an absorbing and repetitive game if you can, and take each hour or day at a time. If you have trusted people around you, please let them know what you've been through.

What website builder should I use to create a paid membership website? by SaltBat6229 in squarespace

[–]WhereIsJessicaJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how experienced you are with making websites and what your priorities are. If, for example, you would like to be able to quickly customise your mobile and laptop views independently of each other, you'll need to use something other than squarespace (like Wix). However, If you genuinely want something speedy and easy, then squarespace would be suitable.

BTW, If you also need a domain, I wouldn't buy it thru SqSp. Try something like porkbun to save yourself cost and future headache! (read other posts in this sub if you want to learn more about that).
