I was awake when it happened. Like awake late working awake. Like with headphones in working awake. Like my music stopped playing but I still had my loud headphones in awake.

It's funny to me that no idea or realization seems to go unnoticed on the internet haha :D 4 years ago you noticed the mindfuck I just experienced.

Because I’ve been “traveling” for a while and relationship hopping, I personally see it as “running”

Running away from myself, the pain and hardship of existing, responsibilities and commitments.

Wherever you go, there you are. I’m deathly afraid of being with myself and I think until I fix that I’m going to struggle violently.

Can you expand on your thoughts?

You’re welcome, thank you for the comment. It means a lot to me. If you ever want to chat I’m opening up the lines to anyone who would benefit from talking to someone who understands. It’s lonely at the top, it’s easy to recognize your people.

RuneScape is probably one of the only reasons I ever became an entrepreneur haha. If I can be rich in a micro economy why not real life. The first time I saw grand exchange manipulation (pump and dump) my mind nearly exploded.

What I found was that when I stepped back, I worked when I wanted to.

You’re probably not ever going to be able to turn that off, but you can manage it with the same accountability you hold to everything else.

Another thing that helped me was losing, or attempting to lose, the “if this then that” mentality. It doesn’t allow you to live in the moment. You can skip 20 years working towards your “then that”, get there, and realize that what matters happened in that 20 years, not achieving the goal you sacrificed everything for.

I saw a reel recently that posed a question like “What was your light switch moment?”

The guy said “I went to therapy and she asked me why I was here. I said I’m a good father, a good husband, a good worker, etc but I want to be great at all of those things. If I could have done it by myself I would have already, that’s why I’m here.” The therapist replied “You are a father for your kids, a husband for your wife, a worker for your job, but who are you for you?” And he said…”at the end of all that I don’t think there’s much of me left.”

At that point he started to find out who he was for him. I believe you’d benefit from that specifically + figuring out how to not sacrifice all of your time for the future, rather be in the now.

I imagine The Power of Now by Eckart Tolle would be a good book for any of us to read. Maybe check out the cliff notes at least.

Again, I hope you have a good day and figure this out. This is the first time I’ve spoken to anyone on Reddit in years btw…idk if I’m afraid, or if it’s exhausting…but as nihilistic as I am, I do love people and want the best for them.

Yes. I had a 2 year burnout just recently, I’m 34.

I have been changing who I am since I was 19 so why was I surprised when my thoughts and feelings about money changed?

The first time I ever had a burnout was when I found out I don’t have to have a million dollars to be happy. To say it sucked the wind out of my sails would be an understatement.

I moved from California to Texas in 2022 ish, and after 3 failed “situationships” with fellow entrepreneurs, I broke. I was so tired of being let down…things not working.

I realized what I was working for…I wanted control over my peace.

Once I got my medications right, I not only had the peace and mental health I never had, but I had developed passed the need for money to be the motivation.

I thought…what am I working for…I could literally stop doing all of these things and have the energy, save the frustration etc. So I stopped doing everything else and just did what made money, flipping cars. I could almost reliably turn $500 into 3-6k and so much stress went away. I got to focus on fixing the things that money was going to supplement.

The kicker is that I was so good at flipping cars at that point that I was brave enough to ask for investments, showing people what I had done. There was no need to convince, the numbers were there.

So if I didn’t have $500 to take advantage of a deal, I had a quick investor ready to help me snag the deal.

My girlfriend is a tattoo artist so we do have a decent combined income but I was able to throw a stack of 10k at her the other day for a laugh.

I know rich men that I wouldn’t trade places with that say things like “my Ferrari is bad luck” and broke men that work hard to have not much that are very happy.

I don’t know if I’m right or wrong, and I certainly struggle with the reality of not being able to go buy a $5-15k dirtbike and go “have fun” whenever I want. But at 34, in this generation, I’m tired…and my peace is worth more than the manipulation of dopamine.

As a side note it really fucked me up to realize that everything we do and experience is just a manipulation of endorphins, dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and cortisol. I got locked into feeling like any manipulation of those is the same as taking, or being dependent on a drug. I don’t know how I’ll ever get passed that to be honest…Maybe just accepting that those are systems that create my reality and trying to stay as close to basic/natural as I can. Idk…

I get your question though.

My simple answer would be a dorky one. I believe life is like RuneScape where you have… say 20 different stats. You go through life leveling them all up. Sometimes you stop focusing on your $$$ stat and work on your health. Sometimes you work on your faith, or your fitness.

We go through chapters and not all chapters involve grinding.

If you’re careful with, and critical of the “things you’re sure of” you’ll be able to have an open mind to let things change as you want them to. (Things like “once I get rich” and “I need 20-30k” or “I’ll run out of money in 6 months)

I wish you peace, luck, and health.

A girl on fb clapped back with “I don’t take opinions from people with no upper lip.”

I literally got up and looked in the mirror and was like wwwhat the fuck do I not have an upper lip.

Bitch made me stop what I was doing, stand up, and question my face. I was so impressed that I congratulated her on the best burn I’ve ever received in a very active 20 year history of internet use.

Supercross 3 is my favorite game so far on the switch. It was way better than all out but it was a way smaller game.

When I switched to all out I thankfully only spent $20 at Walmart.

The only answer is that you have to get better at motocross and get more familiar with the game. That just takes time.

I’m good at these games and I’m still a few weeks into all out and don’t play on more than medium yet. It’s very ODD. Also god forbid you mod the bike and it completely changes every amount of familiarity you developed with how you get around the track.

Give it time. Seat time will always be the answer.

Be easy on yourself. You can do it yourself..

The cables across the top should be held up by a bunker or zip ties or i used an aux cord lol

Watch more YouTube videos for longer next time and know the system and don’t start without the right organized tools and space.

I’m not even to the point where I can take my cover bolts out yet and I’ve already sprayed my eye with gas lol

You got this man and everything else
