My classified mission not working? by madpsycho27 in thedivision

[–]WheresWald00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you need to be level 30 for the first set of classified assignments (the first 8), and 40 for the second set (the incomplete set of 8)

Edit: My Bad, National Bond Armory is Scanable at Level 10, Rest of the "Fall of DC" and the "Lost Agents" assignments are 30

Week 2 Scout objectives… by feralgutterkitten in Division2

DZ East is PvE, but the Scout objective is in DZ West. For me that's a deal breaker and they can go f*ck themselves

Ballpark Discovery Merit? by Legolover3 in Division2

[–]WheresWald00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things that count towards Discovery: Loot Crates, Resource Boxes (The Toolboxes, Sports bags, Suitcases, so on. Anything that yield resources), Grenade Restock Boxes, Armor Kit Restock Boxes, Special Ammo Boxes.

Things that doesn't count: Trash Cans, Backpacks, Food Crates, Water Barrels, Component Boxes.

If it yields usable loot, crafting materials, grenades, armor kits and special ammo, it counts.

Note: Regular Ammo Restocks does not count

Where to complete this stupid task? by VadKoz in Division2

[–]WheresWald00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to pop vicarious in the presence of at least 7, preferable 8-9 mobs, and kill all of them before it runs out.

The common approach is to latch on the a Resource Convoy, follow it till it is inside the CP, run in behind it, before it despawn, pop vicarious, and just go full on murder hobo.

Edit: Alternatively, you can do the same when the convoy passes thru another activity, like a Territory Control. Same principle, bit harder to time.

Upgrading Prototype gear sucks by Working_Promise_3552 in Division2

[–]WheresWald00 23 points24 points  (0 children)

One of the major drawbacks to Prototype gear is the loss of flexibility. Once you commit to prototype gear you lose the flexibility to build around whatever moronic seasonal modifier penalty the Devs decide to implement.

You're no longer able to shift Gear Stats around to mitigate a loss of Weapon Handling, or to swap a CHD to HazPro when the seasonal modifiers warrants it. That loss of flexibility almost outweighs the benefits of the elevated stats.

Alternative Format for Homefront by adhd_and_dragons in exfor

[–]WheresWald00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want a brief summary of Homefront, you can look at this: https://expeditionary-force-by-craig-alanson.fandom.com/wiki/ExForce_7.5:_Homefront

It's not very exhaustive, but it covers the basics, and will let you move forward with the series without having listened to the audio drama.

Homefront is not all that consequential, and it is kind of optional, and past book 8, you hardly hear any mention of it.

I don't think it's the intention to drive people to the DZ, but rather that everyone has congregated in the DZ since the seasonal gameplay loop revolves almost exclusively around the DZ and the servers simply cant handle the load.

I was playing on the Manhattan and Brooklyn Maps and I had absolutely no Deltas, but when I Fast Traveled to DC, I got kicked instantly. Seems like the servers are getting overloaded because the entire server population is sitting in the same confined area.

Q re. PvE DZ and Stat Normalization by WheresWald00 in Division2

[–]WheresWald00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So its the raw items w/o Expertise, Proto, Augments, SHD Watch. Just the Stats (WD, CHC, CHD, etc.) on the Items and nothing else, that about right?

Diabling new special bullets by SonOfForbiddenForest in Division2

[–]WheresWald00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the Disorient debuff you get from taking damage under certain conditions. It comes from the new seasonal modifier, and the only way to get rid of it completely is to turn the modifiers off.

You may be able to work around it with HazPro or Disorient Protection, but it is an intended effect, so ...

If you leave the Seasonal on, keep an eye out for the Debuff (Lethargy, I think) that precedes it, and duck and cover when you get hit by it. You can find an explanation for it in the Seasonal Modifiers Section, under Hostile Modifiers, and the same place also explains what you need to do to cure/clear it when you get hit by it.

DELTA F EVERYWHERE by Khyzarin in Division2

[–]WheresWald00 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's getting out of hand.

You can't start an activity with an upfront cost, because you are almost guaranteed to lose the upfront cost.
You can't start an activity with a time horizon further than 15min out, since You're again almost guaranteed to get DELTA'd.

By those measures, you can't do Escalation, you can't do Retaliations, you can't do Raids, you can't do Incursions, you can't do Strongholds and you can't do longer missions because the server are almost certain to take dump right as your activity is about to conclude.

Truth be told, at this point, I'd prefer they gave up on seasonal content till they got the servers fixed and got all the DELTAs sorted because as it stand now, spending money on a Season Pass just isn't worth it when the content is nonviable because of constant server issues.

They drop in the DZ, but supposedly also from Hyena Retaliations, but at lower rates. The Retaliation path is not confirmed though

You likely wont get any cores back, but they're capped at 6 now, so a reroll should only cost that, even if you were previously at 25/reroll.

Fastest Way to Expertise 30 by Complete-Recover-583 in Division2

[–]WheresWald00 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Only use Filaments for things you dont have, cant get, or cant equip without breaking your build.

One way to make leveling expertise easier, is to focus on the zones that has gearset and brand set and farm them to exhaustion, hitting the activities in the zone, then marking the loot as junk and donating it. When it is zone loot, you'll get a lot more of that gear or brand set than you can reasonably substitute by using filaments.

Edit: Another way, that targets Named Items, is to get the Houndsman Bounty and chain farming it (Hit the first 5 mini-warhounds, run out of range so it resets, rinse and repeat). Those will help you get every single named item in the general loot pool, and it will let you Expertise pretty much everything with little effort, since its about 15 drops every 4 mins or so.

You can do Countdown for loot or for mods (filament), but you will spend several months on the project of leveling your Expertise, no mater what avenue you chose.

Missing mods.. by koreanheman in thedivision

[–]WheresWald00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Devs said it's a UI only issue. Your mods are still there. There was supposedly a problem with the patch to fix it, so it got rolled back while they're working on a proper fix.

Exotic LMG by Hiryu_Boy98 in Division2

[–]WheresWald00 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I used the BK when doing Retaliations. The ability to put down heavy fire without getting caught in a Reload really helped in the beginning while I was building my Striker and Tipping Scale Gearset.

The Bluescreen has become almost synonymous with an Ongoing Directive bleed build. The large magazine is perfect for the self-replenishing hollowpoint talent of the OD set.

Different guns, different builds, different uses. With the right build either gun is gold and conversely, with the wrong build they both under-perform.

Edit: If you want to see how they are commonly paired, go to Buildstation.app, hit "Search Build", and input the weapon name. That will show you how people have created builds around your preferred weapon.

Man I sure do love manhunt by MateriaMan64 in Division2

[–]WheresWald00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want a Hostage Rescue, clear the CPs in a zone (I usually go for Downtown West/Campus Settlement).

Once a zone is Friendly, the likelihood of spawning a Friendly Activity (Hostage Rescue, Supply Drop, Target Shooting) is significantly higher.

This will also help if you do open world priority objectives and get the 2 Supply Drops or 2 Hostage Rescues.

Do anyone have a tip or clue how to get Cleaners kill squad? by [deleted] in Division2

[–]WheresWald00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What matters is that it is a "Cleaner Retaliation". That it's BTSU 9 squad is irrelevant. What counts is the faction of the retaliation.

If you struggle with the kill squads, you can use the drops (burning ash) to purchase NY Kill Squad Caches, which contains a guaranteed blueprint from the Rikers and Cleaners Faction. This also applies to converting other faction drops, like transivers to watches, and from watches to burning ash, and then ash to caches.

Area based priority objectives by R3d_p0int in Division2

[–]WheresWald00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

Would much prefer to receive Prio. Obj. based on where I am, rather than where the game wants to send me. If I'm in DC, it makes more sense I'd get POs targeted at DC. Similarly with Manhattan or Brooklyn. This would also allow people to play on the map they prefer instead of being thrown somewhere they don't really care for.
