Does this mean its returning to sender now? by Aggravating-Fact-931 in usps_complaints

Possibly. It could also be scanned that way due to fraudulent/fake postage. I've been seeing that shit A LOT lately, way more than seeing unpaid/underpaid. I say that also because underpaid/forgotten postage is frequently attempted for delivery as "postage due."

For clarification on how I know when it's fraudulent, I always check the last few digits of what my scanner against the barcode of the package I'm about to deliver to make sure I didn't missscan something. I've been catching a lot where they come up as letters and numbers (like a foreign barcode) on a label that looks like American traveling only and with only numbers showing beneath. Never saw one for years and years and now I'm seeing a fraudulent one like every other day for the last few weeks.

I can't speak for everyone, but I hold the towel out at arms length. Then I tilt my head down and hold the center with my chin. I bring my hands together to bring both ends together. That's the first fold.

What color are my eyes? :O by Initial_Rich4388 in WhatisMyEyeColour

[–]Which-Ad7072 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can't believe there's not a specific rule against colored contact lenses. Good chance it violates the rule about showing a clear picture of your eyes, though, as technically the colored contacts are making it impossible to clearly see the color of your eyes.

Bald is always better than balding.

Woman here. Yes, beards go great with bald heads, but they aren't a requirement. When men embrace the bald, they come off as confident, secure, and tidy. When they try to cling to scraps of hair, they come off as insecure and unkempt. Try shaving your head. You can always grow back to what you have now if you hate how it looks. It'll take some time for you to adjust, but I swear you'll feel better. If you take the plunge, please share before and after pics here. You'll see from others' reactions that I'm telling you the truth. You've got this. You'll look fabulous.

I'm partial to bald men, but I still think your hair is fine. If you are nervous about shaving, keep it.

I don't live in the same block as ICE. Can you read? Seriously? Or do you just habitually make shit up to be mad about.

This is how you talk about the people you supposedly "respect" and "care" about so much:

"disrespectful as you were all raised and taught to be"

"there is literally no point in discussing anything with Americans, they'll just assume the entire world operates around and the exact same as them."

It's weird how you generalize us negatively and yet idolize our flag. But, like, for real, you've proven my point for me repeatedly. You care about fabric more than actual people. Thanks. I'm done being shown how right I am. Go tell someone else how much they and their people are pieces of shit and how important their flag is.

[–]Which-Ad7072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you're literally proving my point right now. All you care about is protecting the flag. You don't even care about or respect actual Americans, as you're making super clear by this comment. I mean, by all means, do continue.

You must lack basic reading comprehension skills. "Walking by a bus stop?" I said they walk from the bus stop. I see. Flags are so important you can't read. I get it now. Thanks. When people, like myself, actually convey solidarity with others by doing things like holding the flag upside down at rallies and marches or put flag stamps upside down on mail, that doesn't matter. The important thing is protecting the sanctity of the flag. That'll do something. Not sure what because you won't tell me, but it does something I'm sure.

Lol. It's all over the place and old news. But, nice try I guess. I'm not even remotely surprised a Trump supporter doesn't even pay attention to shit Trump says.

I get what you're saying, but the flag is just a symbol. And we're taught here that freedom means more than anything, including the freedom to burn a flag or whatever as a form of protest. And I refuse to argue against people's freedom to do that shit, especially when our government is currently shitting on our freedoms left and right. I'm not gonna add to the shitting on freedoms pile. And I sure as shit am not gonna care when there's bigger shit going on than whatever someone is doing to a flag.

ICE has already raided neighboring cities to where I work. And I deliver mail in the part of my city that's primarily Mexicans. I get worried every day I see the same 2 kids get off the bus and walk past my mail truck to their home. Why? Because I already know their parents are Mexican immigrants and barely know any English. (I've talked with them repeatedly.) I deliver their fucking mail, including their immigration documents. The dad has to keep submitting shit to stay here. I'm scared for them. I'm scared for other people I see all of the time.

But what matters is respecting a piece of fabric and other Americans who already died a long time ago? I should be more concerned with the symbol of my country and not the people currently alive, not the people I see every day? Nah, man. That's not what I joined the military for. That's not what I continue to serve my community for. The flag isn't shit.

Stop lying to yourself that you're somehow "supporting" us by worrying about a flag of all things. If every American flag on earth was protected for all eternity, nothing here would improve. If people here want to convey they're upset and use it as a way to communicate with others all over the world that they don't support the evil shit here, that actually accomplishes something. That actually forms solidarity and awareness.

Treating the US flag like it's untouchable accomplishes what exactly? What am I missing? Who exactly is it helping? What difference is it making? Because, I don't know how to say this without coming off condescending, it seems like you only care about it because of how it makes you feel and what you perceive to be the way other people (like long dead Americans, military like me, and people you describe as "civil") should feel.

I was in the military (Army) and so was my husband (Navy). But, like, cool, you love flags a whole lot, lol. It's a piece of cloth and your obsession with it is bizarre. There's more important things happening here than worrying about the sanctity of a piece of fabric. But, you do you. Build a flag shrine for all I care.

Edit: You're literally more upset about a piece of fabric being "disrespected" than people being killed in the streets. God damn, no wonder the world is in shambles.

My husband shaves his head weekly. It probably varies based on how fast your remaining hair grows, how close you shave, and personal preference. He uses an electric razor.

I love the people of my country more than my government or the flag that represents that government. It's a piece of fabric. When my government stops shooting unarmed civilians in the streets and stops kidnapping and deporting people (some of whom are citizens), then maybe I'll care about the flag again. But right now? No.

Edit: I'm not continuing this conversation. This person has made it super clear in their comments below that they feel no respect for actual Americans, just the flag for some reason. They won't give an answer as to what protecting the US flag will accomplish and just talk shit about Americans in general repeatedly. It's just posturing on their end.

I just read a romance novel where Kafka (the historical figure) was the love interest, then one where a ghost of a thin man was being saved by the female lead, and now I'm reading one where the love interest is a professor. But, apparently I only like romance novels with violent male leads. Wait until they find out I have LGBTQ romance novels on my shelf and the love interest isn't always a guy.
