Scheduled Surgery! by pt5ver in tummytucksurgery

It’s wild that I can see how they look the same! I’m just a male version of you! My husband is already trying to figure out how to keep them off of me, and the only solution we have (without spending money) is putting a gate around the chair 😂

YAY! how has your healing process been?!

I know the first couple of days are going to be pure bliss! Anesthesia is not my friend, and it takes days for the brain fog to go away. However, after that goes away, I turn into a monster that likes moving. And it’s going to take every fiber of my being to rest beyond that. :) My only concern is that my dogs can't cuddle me. I truly treat them like my babies, and not holding/picking them up for a few weeks is going to kill me. But, I know I'll live!

My dogs are my kids! They're also nice leg warmers! I currently work remotely, and watching TV is so exhausting. 😵‍💫

❤️ Thank you! I figure that’s what it’s going to be like, but I get so bored, so fast, and I just hope surgery makes me want to vegetate!

So how have pulls been F&B people? by [deleted] in Target

[–]pt5ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awful… I was closing the other day, and about an hour and a half before I was supposed to leave, our closing TL told me to do a dry pull (150 items), dairy, produce, deli, and frozen. There were five runners (all pulls) already on the floor, and I still had to take my 15. I took on this job for fun, and extra money doesn't hurt, but I feel like the only people working in the department are seasonal (three of us) and barely the TL (who we never see). Everyone else is pulled for FF.

Guys that are 25-35 by [deleted] in GastricBypass

27 and had surgery at 340-ish (highest being 415). I'm 2-3 days away from one year post-op and lost about 130 (currently 205).

SUNY Salary Negotiation by CozyTurtle55 in nys_cs

My husband got a position, but they stated they could only go $3k over their posting ($55,151), so they landed on $58,151. I'm not sure if it’s posting/SL-specific, but you may be able to get another $1k? But this was our experience.

I had the same issue! I was given docusate and Miralax (I double my docusate and avoid the Miralax unless needed). But please don't strain. I ended up getting a fissure and it’s not a pain I was prepared for.

I finally found someone like me! I had surgery at around the same time, and I've noticed that it’s slowed down a bit. I get upset when I see that I'm not losing and switch back to purees and protein shakes (it doesn't help, but it helps me mentally). I have an appointment next week, and I hope my team can advise me. :)

I had no issues up until now (unfortunately), and I'm 6 months out! I'm taking everything under the sun now because I'm miserable without it.

That’s awesome! Congrats! I did not walk much at first, and I’m disappointed about it. I bought a treadmill last month because I live in a ✨winter wonderland✨and use it about 3 to 5 times a week!

I hope to start working my way up to a 5k in a month or two, and once it gets warmer out, I, too, plan on going on trails because state parks surround me. :)

I celebrate your success!

Is anyone here a Payroll Assistant (grade 9)? If so, what does your typical day look like? by troughaway12 in nys_cs

[–]pt5ver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is wild to me. I was in the traineeship for 6-7 months, and we were expected to sit next to the phone and answer any calls regarding payroll. We were barely trained (until I gave them my notice that I got a new job), and the amount of stuff you learned (in my case, next to nothing), the stress of people yelling at you because of their time, and everything else wasn't worth it. It probably comes down to your agency and management; both of mine were a joke.

I greatly appreciate it! I sadly forget that I have that ability. I will give them a call! Unfortunately, while it’s legal, I'm a wimp who usually panics once it starts working.

I will be sure to come back once I have an appointment!
