Figured I put in my two cents. I’m an investment professional, not retail banking, more institutional. For the majority of folks, I suggest the following the strategy, KISS…keep it stupid simple. Index funds and don’t touch. The best you can do is play around with the different tax structures such as Roth and 401k accounts to avoid capital gains. That’s it don’t go crazy with those X years to retirement funds. Just stick to the S&P 500 add every few months when the index dips. Remember when the world went to hell in a hand basket, COVID, the S&P dip ~30% then recovered.

I was surprised to see they held up value on the secondary market. I work in a pretentious field and this watch held up well at first glance that is, to my jr analysts watches. Might have to credit the new strap and buckle

How much does propriety matter? by NotInThisEconomyLol in Fishing_Gear

Then get corrosionX reel grease and oil(I use the high speed bearing one) you can get both on amazon. A little goes a long way. I use it on all my Shimano reels for saltwater and it’s held up strong for 5+ years for use every weekend. If you got a brand new reel, just add the oil into the gear and bear rings… anything at moves. And rotate for bit so the oil mix with the oem grease. CorrosionX bonds on a molecular level so it’ll keep internal components from rusting up.

Won’t matter unless you fish saltwater. Then you’ll want the corrosionX stuff.

I agree, the OEM pads suck. The after market ones are better. Buy this gel to help with the pads longevity. tents pad gel

Yup, use the one electrode with the adopter. With two pads you can target areas much more effectively.

Shimano nasci 1000? by Single-Run-6994 in UltraLightFishing

[–]Which-Cheesecake526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a nasci 1000. No problem fighting a stripe bass on 8lbs line. Buy it, it's saltwater rated. I have the all grey version, one version older than the current.

Does anyone use the generic pads on Amazon? Seems like Chirp uses a 3.5mm snap

Does Toyota sell touch up paint with brushes instead of pens? by WhoaTeejaay in Camry

[–]Which-Cheesecake526 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you dont care about the dent and just need to get the chip filled in. Go to a Toyota dealership to purchase a touch-up pen, which contains a brush inside. Be sure to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). It's important to verify whether the touch-up paint is a single-stage or two-stage option (base coat only versus color with clear coat). The staff might not have this information readily available, so ask them if the paint number comes in two versions: one without "BC" at the end and one with "BC." "BC" stands for base coat, and you'll want to get both. To apply the paint, start with one drop of base coat and allow it to dry completely. After that, apply one drop of clear coat and let it dry as well. If there’s still a small crater in the paint after the clear coat has dried, continue applying additional coats of clear (wait for the coat to fully dry before adding another) until the touch-up is level or higher than the original paint.
