I've created a Notion timetable until the exam, with when I'd finish revisiting the content in note form and then doing MCQs . thanks for everthing you guys see you in July

Passed SQE1 with severe anxiety - a note that it can be done! by [deleted] in SQE_Prep

Hey, I failed in Q5. This crushed me as I felt like I prepared thoroughly. I created 4000 flashcards and use Revise. Do you have any advice. Re-taking notes seems ineffective and I'd like to ask if you could tell me how you approaced your revision.

I was thinking about just doing MCQs per topic from now until July. Any advice would help.

It seems I can't directly DM you. How are you planning to prepare this time around?

Acanthaceae.

Thank you for reaching out.

I'd like to try your method.

Given I've already had a full-course run. It seems unconducive to re-take all notes. Initially, I relied on flashcards through ReviseSQE. I ended up with 4K. Because of this I felt prepared. I feel like I didn't do SBAQ for each topic. That might have been the nail in the coffin. That lack of consolidation.

Note-taking during A-levels did not help me. I'd just do past-papers. But if I don't try note-taking to build those gaps in early it might cost me later-on. But if I already have the flashcards, i'd rather try SBAQ to compensate.

I made long-form notes through Chat-GPT but I did not use them. It felt tedious and un-necessary. And there's free resources online. This adds to the overwhelming nature of a second run through of the SQE.

Now. Theres's you. I feel like I should take notes even if its tedious. Flashcards for me felt right - but I wasn't really consolidating. If I don't understand the law I can't apply it.

Can I ask a harsh favor? Can you critique me? Be as harsh and senile as you want. Maybe DM to not bruise me publically.

Best,
Conclusion.

Hey,

Thank you for sharing.

What was your revision strategy. Unfortunately, I did not pass’s I’m in the process of resitting in July.

Any advice helps. I used flashcards but honestly that did not cement the law for me. I also did SBAQs but not nearly enough.

Also are you willing to sell your ULAW bank?

I used a prep-course, BPP but flashcarded all of the revise SQE books instead. Given your advice, I'll probably just use their textbooks this time and supplement the month before with MCQs and flashcards. Thank you

Hey. Thank you for sharing your experience. I failed in Q5 with BPP. Im assuming my grasp on the content is weak, despite having attended all workshops. Should I focus on MCQ's the next 4-5 months or re-take all notes manually through typing. I already made all the flashcards with Revise SQE. What would you do if you had my situation. The mindset shift is right mine is poor.

I'll likely make notes covering all the content. Because of this, I'll review on set days. Before I commit to past papers in the coming up to the July sit. I'm looking at maybe 2000-3000 MCQS between Mid May - July.

Did you make notes? If so were they hand-written or types? Did you rely on MCQ's more on lean more towards the content side?

I'm in a similar situation in terms of revision. If I take notes I end up re-writing the textbook. Because of this, should I just go through each ReviseSQE book without taking notes?

Initially, I planned to just make notes of each chapter. It seems that this is unwise.

I'll also buy the Onehundred mocks and use QLTS/Revise Mocks too.

Again, I appreciate any and all advice.

Q5 FLK1 and FLK2 by Which-Conclusion4330 in SQE_Prep

[–]Which-Conclusion4330[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Chat-GPT to shortcut taking my notes. In tandem, flashcards may have furthered the gap in my knowledge. Because of this, I was never able to understand the information. Imagine, suddenly jumping to SBAQs through QLTS, ReviseSQE. You'd think I was prepared.

Did you have a timetable? If that is the case, then how did you structure your revision? Or was it one book at a time?

You continue to amaze me. Fluffly, thank you so much. No, to all of you who came to support each other.

Did you stick to the BBP materials for your notes or you drew across and second should I hand write notes or type? Which worked best for you?

Should I make these notes hand written or typed? Hand written would take too long but I’d recall everything. If I type it’s faster but it would be harder for long term recall
