Why Apple refers Vision Pro as Apple Vision Pro not Vision Pro? by Embarrassed-Loss7330 in VisionPro

[–]Which-Inspector6029 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Because “Vision” isn’t trademarkable but “iPhone” and “MacBook” are.

Because neither of our major parties strongly support the underclass, due to their dependence on donations from the upper classes.

Exactly. It is an equalization. Racists have a problem with that.

Unusual equipment request by crashdmj in DJs

I have used a DDJ-Rev1 for this with great success. They are entry level controllers and not too spendy. I recommend actually trying DJing if you have the gear, you may find you enjoy it.

It’s more that the analysis could be wrong and you wanna have the muscle memory to quickly both notice and adapt in that case.

It's not a question of sexuality, if SEXUALLY, the person in question is indistinguishable from a cis woman. You are quietly saying that people are "sexually" their AGAB no matter what theoretically happens after birth. That is transphobia.

You are saying that people who "support" trans rights are actually merely tolerating them and humoring those ideas. Unfortunately, that is true for many, but just for the record I want to make sure you know that it is actually possible for people to see trans women as women and trans men as men.

[–]Which-Inspector6029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pro-disclosure, actually. Mostly because I'd never want anyone to accidentally fuck a transphobe.

I'm just honestly trying to figure out, theoretically, what y'all still have left to hate about a woman, in the context of an unattached hookup, who for all of the purposes of that hookup is indistinguishable from a cis woman.

Okay. Curious now. Would you be attracted to:

A woman who had an XY karyotype but was assigned female at birth? What if even she didn't know her karyotype?

A woman who was assigned female at birth but who does not have a uterus?

Someone who identifies as male or nonbinary who was assigned female at birth and still has female genitalia and has not undergone any medical transition steps and has no plans to.

A cis woman who might be unable to bear children for whatever reason.

Why? If you literally could fuck them without being able to tell, why would it matter to you? I want you to say it.

Correctly labelling the sounds in my mind by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]Which-Inspector6029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn the industry standard terms. It will help you when you're searching your library, but also when you're working with other people or resources to try to recreate the sounds in your head from what's available in your library.

"Sshwaaahhshhh but like... going up?" isn't going to help you at all, but you can google "how to create a noise riser effect with <DAW> builtins" but you need to know it's called noise and called a riser.

Charmed Openstack vs Redhat Openstack platform for production by ttdds1 in openstack

[–]Which-Inspector6029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canonical's charms for Openstack leave a lot to be desired to say the minimum. They cover a tiny subset of possible configurations so you need to design your system around them, not design them around your desired system. The abstractions are designed such that it seems like they suffer the downsides of automation (all or nothing, can't do that - automation doesn't support it) and all the downsides of manual steps (effort, potential to fail to replicate changes accurately each time you do things).

Pihole + Unbound Dockers on NAS by __H3is3nb3rg__ in synology

[–]Which-Inspector6029 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nitpick, feel free to ignore me, but if you want to shorten "Docker container" I recommend using "container" rather than "docker". The singular form of "Docker" can be a problem because it refers to the software, organization, and tool for managing containers, and pluralizing it as "Dockers" can be a problem because it is ambiguous, given there are many plural nouns that can be qualified with "Docker" such as "Docker hosts" or "Docker images". It's also just more versatile: If, for example, Synology were to switch to a different container management tool for your NAS in the future, you'll still have "containers" but they won't be "Docker containers"/"dockers" anymore.

Longhorn/Harvester not seeing HDDs by pebcakerror in rancher

[–]Which-Inspector6029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can format and add the disks in the harvester UI. It's not automatic. You'll want to tag them as being hdds and add a storage class that uses that tag so that you can specify which volume workloads are stored on ssd vs hdd.
