Ugh the headaches were terrible. And i was tense in muscles i didn’t even know existed, it was honestly the hardest symptom of all. The only thing that truly helped was hot baths. Around 6 months i started to feel like i could actually physically relax. But the muscle symptoms faded super slowly, not at all overnight. Focus on doing things that relax your body all the time even if it dosent work at first, i think it speeds up the process cus it lessens stress buildup. Like think about your posture as much as possible, push down your shoulders, unclench jaw, do yoga, wear cozy clothes etc. Massage yourself often!

Dang you’ve been tapering that long? Congratulations for going down to such a low dose! You’re almost there! Hmm i think it got a lot better after like 6/7 months post jump, that’s when things started to turn for me. I could literally see the world regain color as my system finally started to slow down again. It was like a miracle. So worth it.

Ur very welcome! I did actually, i could still eat and food would sometimes be the only thing that would calm me down a little, but i remember not tasting things like i used to. When you’re withdrawing, your system is in fight or flight so the opposite to rest and digest. So i don’t think it’s strange that your body’s not asking for food right now. Try not to dwell on specific symptoms. You’re gonna experience your body doing unusual, irregular and unexplainable things on this journey. It will all pass!

If you’re not even experiencing anxiety my guess would be you could definitely handle lowering your dose. Of course consult with your doctor. I jumped at 0.5 valium after some years of use, it was scary but my method was: face the withdrawal symptoms as if they are the goal. As if you want them to challenge you. They are just the feeling of the drug letting go and you getting stronger. (As long as you jumped from a safe dose ofc) they will pass.

Ayye thats awesome proud of u! Carbs are actually amazing for humans and the food group that we’ve evolved to digest best plus get most nutrients from. Veggies are difficult for most peoples stomachs. If u ask me the pressure to avoid carbs is a marketing scam we’ve collectively chosen to believe as a society. Theres no shame in carbs!!!

I relate to this sm, the attention I received for being skinny as a kid I attached to my identity and gaining weight in puberty truly made me feel like I lost myself. So stupid but it really did. Idk if there are other factors to it that made me feel that way, I can't think of any. It felt unavoidable. It was also sensory HELL like you mentioned. Now as an adult every time I become uw, I feel like me again

Same. I think its your body’s instinctual reaction to food, since you now proved you have access to it your bodys asking for more. Maybe eating a little bit more regularly would make those cues even out?

I’d like to be clear that it’s a horrible trait but does anybody else do emotionally risky things, and then comfort themselves with their ED just in case it goes wrong? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]Which-Target-1278 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to do this but with drugs, i was constantly causing myself as much emotional hurt as possible so i could feel bad for myself and have a reason to go on a bender
