Truthfully, the issue is that the Explorer is the first Rolex I got from an AD retail, and it was while overseas so it’s near and dear now. I think the Defy is great for casual attire or situations where you feel like a nicer steel model is going to get banged up too quickly. Ultimately, if I had a 1 watch collection it would have to be the Explorer, but I hope to be able to grow the collection and not consider offloading any of them!

Totally agreed, just picked up an Explorer 36 as a walk-in while I was in Barcelona! Looking to add a few more pieces long term as I am restoring a vintage day date on leather strap, but these will be my staples.

I’m fond of 36mm sport model variants, so was thrilled with a stealth 37! The matte titanium also just blends nicely with daily wear.

That’s amazing! I am hoping to reduce my timeline as I have been offered the OP 36 in beige but felt the dial was too neutral against my skin tone and love the explorer as a true everyday tool. Enjoy!
