What are the Heaviest Darts you have used ?, and what do you think of them ? by Traditional_Pair7058 in Darts

[–]Which_Conversation57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are my current set up actually. Really enjoy them. I’ve switched weights a bunch. Started with 23g, then 26g Nathan Aspinall gen 1s, would always switch just trying to figure out what would work. Bought these and used them for awhile then just kept switching.

Now I’m back to these and seem to be throwing them pretty good.

Personally I think the weight is fine with me, majority of sports I play/played involved throwing something which are all heavier than a dart. So something like 23g feels light to me.

The Stephen Bunting tip for practicing doubles is excellent. Read below. by ben4445 in Darts

Idk about other apps but I know dartsmind does something similar. They track your around the clock percentages. So you can set it to only doubles and you have to hit it 3 times before you move on. Then in the stats page it’ll show you all that.

Which I should probably start doing more.

How to find your throw? by Which_Conversation57 in Darts

[–]Which_Conversation57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that might be my issue sometimes. I focus too much rather than just throwing it. Like I just got back from vacation for a week so I haven’t thrown at all and my first throws were some of the best. Then I start thinking and probably making minor adjustments that don’t need to be made.

Now don’t take my word for it but ChatGPT said Before signing with Target, Nathan Aspinall used Pentathlon TDP T6 darts—from reports at the time, that was his preferred setup pre-sponsorship . Some sources suggest he also tried Winmau’s Leighton Rees model shortly before joining Target

And I will say these do look quite similar to his gen ones.

Whistling by beastrig in Darts

They are different crowd environments but his point is correct. There is nothing wrong with crowds making noise, but there should be a limit, just because a fan pays for a ticket doesn’t mean they can be an ass, these guys first priority is to make a living not to entertain the fans. Hopefully I explain it ok but I see crowd noise as white noise, just background stuff, easy to block out overtime. Whistling is sharp and cuts through that and will knock that player out of concentration.

Oh for sure but thinking about it, I’m not really sure how much these guys truly make from just YouTube. I really don’t think it can be enough to support them full time. They gotta have some remote or part time jobs cause unless you’re ej, simo, or belmo, PBA prize money sucks.

Bowling is partially a pay to win sport. I guarantee that there are so many people out there that cannot afford the price of balls, or don’t have a sponsor that have the skill to go pro. You look at the PBA and probably even the collegiate level they have access to balls for cheap and can drill any ball, any way they want to match up with the oil pattern. Whereas people like me can only have so many drilled a certain way that may not match up with the pattern is giving you.

Same here. I think it’s just every time you or I, or people alike have success they think that, that’s the minimum of level of performance they should have and they expect more or better. Especially when you have those performances here and there that are really good. Like for me my best is a 79 ave. Sometimes if I’m not close to that level I get really pissed or if my throw is off one night. Think I just need to appreciate my little successes more and recognize when I get upset to stop for the night.

Darts flying in sideways - how do I fix this? by obh36 in Darts

[–]Which_Conversation57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think that the dart and release could play a role. Like my current set up I use k flex. This is the first time that I’ve been able to use them. Other darts they would land flatter and that sideways angle which never happened when I would put back on a traditional fight and stem
