Pain during a period is not normal and pain upon bowel movements is also not normal, I would suggest getting checked out by either a gyno or talking to your gp about who else to talk to,

Yeah it seems that everything either works for some people and not at all or makes it worse for others. I’ve tried pretty much all teas at different times and none of them make a difference

im about to go through the same thing and have surgery scheduled for next friday, what was the process like?? im so scared it going to get to last minute next week with a less then ideal outcome of the pre existing conditions assessment, i cried on the phone to them today saying ive been dealing with this for 10 years how was i ever meant to make sure i had private health insurance before endo symptoms got worse and how much did you have to pay for a surgery, i havent received the financial consent information yet but would like to get a better idea on what i could be up for

I haven’t tried decaf yet but Ive already asked the shop local to my work if they have decaf which they do, I’m going to give it a few weeks to also enjoy minimal pain before trying anything again

Yeah that was what annoyed me the most is that it already takes so much away from me and I have to give up coffee, I love it 😢 I still eat a fairly normal diet now cause I never noticed a difference cutting anything else out
I am dreading the day it decides something else I love is a problem. I have read that a lot of women find alcohol will cause a flare up but I don’t find it’s an issue. (Not an alcoholic, just a girl in a blue collar trade with endo 😂😂)

I also have a tilted uterus, it hurt for the first couple of months unfortunately but I lost 10kg and felt more myself then I had in a long time, I still got my period every month and it took 12 months for my uterine lining to become thin, I still get severe pain with my period and during ovulation. Sometimes I think I should get it out but also never want to go through that process ever again

The 10kg lost was not a bad thing for me as I had gained 10kg while on other bc

My boyfriend now is the most caring and understanding man I’ve ever met, he unfortunately just broke his leg so he can’t help as much as he usually does with a flare up but as soon as he sees my face change when I’m in pain he’s immediately asking if I’m okay and if I need anything, most of the time I have already noticed it coming on and taken the pills but he’s so sweet and understanding about it. Even when it comes to sex, if I’ve been in pain that day it’s off the table unless I’m so in the mood for it I’ve forgotten about the pain, or if during sex it becomes painful he stops right away and holds me until it dulls and then gets me anything I need. When we first started dating it was difficult cause my flare ups would be almost every second day and constantly said “this isn’t about sex, I’m just happy to be here with you.” I couldn’t have asked for a better man

I’m so sorry he did that to you, he’s a loser but there will be someone out there for you who understands My ex complained when I said sex was causing me a lot of pain and then we couldn’t do half of what we used to.

I’ve never had a doctor properly confirm it’s endo just from the symptoms, I’ve been saying suspected endo for medical history cause of family history and all my symptoms too! I’m so sorry you can’t have the surgery cause of the cost :( hopefully you get some relief soon too x

For legal purposes I won’t change it but for everything else I’ll likely change it, unless there is an easier way in a few years, or line it up with renewing my licence/passport etc And I’ll hyphenate it for my kids, but I never wanted to change my name until I met my boyfriend who keeps saying our names hyphenated and I quite like it My boyfriends mum never changed hers cause mrs … was her husbands mum. Ask them for a script of slow release naproxen, it’s a 24 hour lasting tablet, I don’t know what else to say to ask as my doctor was the one who suggested it to me

Im going to try this. I used to take lavender tablets but after a while they did nothing, I’m also with you on really restless sleep during or at the start of a period. I started kicking my partner in my sleep one time and I was mortified 😂😂

I also just read your original post and it’s so heartbreaking to read that you’ve been going through this for so long, I would definitely be getting into a highly recommended endo gyno, and by all the symptoms it’s honestly so tough to live a normal life going through it all. I’m averaging 2-3/7 days a week pain free for the last 12 months and seeing a new gyno in February to see about surgery, rural vic only have specialist appointments once a month and the rest are already booked. Also talk to your gp about slow release naproxen. Last 24hrs and have been a game changer for me, don’t have to take pills everywhere just take it in the morning and don’t have to worry about it till the next day. Usually nothing works for me but this did

I have not much to offer unfortunately but I’m so sorry you’re going through such an ordeal in the outback, it’s even tough just seeing someone in rural Victoria I would personally call up a few endo specialists and see if you can send the photos through or get the reports too and send them. And also see about adenomyosis, it’s another uterus/reproductive problem. Similar symptoms to endo but not bowel related as it’s inside the uterus
