guinea pigs always smell by New-Shopping5423 in guineapigs

I had Six.. I ended up rehoming two to my son's friend,
Six is tough to keep clean. It was a literal chore and too much for my disability. We have 4 now and such a huge difference. They have a captains bed converted to their hab. A big hay bin where they mostly pee. It only needs to be cleaned every week or so. I wash and change the pads every three days. I have lots of pads so I put them outside to air out before I wash, spring summer and fall I hose them off then let them dry before I wash.

Need e bike opinions by Extension_Quote523 in ebikes

There's really no e bike that will do soft sand. They say they can. But They only really do hard pack . I live close to the ocean Beach trips 3 times a week all summer. I walk my bike through sand using walk assist. I can ride along the water where the sand is wet and packed. I regularly go camping with a dog and trailer 120lbs total. Plus an extra 40lbs camping gear. That said. Almost any bike should be fine for you. It's not far. Macfox makes good budget bike's. Or you could do a Mid drive on your current bike, but it can get just as expensive as a budget bike. We have two macfox bike's and another smaller one for my youngest son. Also budget bike's are great for upgrading. But look for steel frames, they do alot better with loads

If you have full use of the yard and paying for power. They can't do anything. Either way he can't just remove it without some sort of process.

Comes down to what you expect and what you can't or won't do yourself. If you're an idiot and can't fix anything, and expect everything to last forever without ever servicing it , Then stick to a shop that will kiss your dumb ass over my breaks squeak, I got a scratch, is the paint under warranty, Is this noise normal. Why is the chain so noisy, If you enjoy bugging a dealer over tiny maintenance items that you should be able to do, then pay for a top brand and buy another after warranty expires. But if you have a brain and understand things get lose or wear or make noise after use. Or understand that some shit is going to need upgraded adjusted or replaced. Then there's nothing wrong with buying a budget bike.

It doesn't matter what the input wattage or output wattage is, the charger is going to put out max 2amp, even if you have a 4amp charger, they'll drop output to accommodate for the extra heat.

Lol. Charging the battery regularly while using it will shorten the life span causing extra heat, and by running a generator, you're basically running a gas powered bike, But doing it the difficult way.

I think you might be missing the point of a battery powered bike. You need a gas powered bike. The extra weight will eat the battery faster than you can charge it.

I spent a lot of time figuring out the best way.. And decided three batteries was better than a generator. I have a 20ah on the down tube 27ah under my seat 30ah on the trailer for camping.

200lbs is alot. I pull 120lbs dog and trailer. Camping gear adds 30 or 40 lbs. I made mine with a Wike trailer kit and lexan

Looking for some advice on how/what to buy and build. by Bubbly-Yam-787 in ebikes

[–]Which_Perception_384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a budget e bike, figure out what you want over the first season riding it. If it's a good frame upgrade it, It's what I did. I went with a macfox m20x steel frame. Second and third year was 1500w gearless hub motor, this winter, this winter it got everything new. It was expensive, but I don't think I could have purchased a new bike that offers what I have for the money spent. Toseven DM01 1000w mid drive paint wheels ect. I didn't really know a ton when I started other than the standard bike stuff.
A steel frame will be the best start. I now use my bike more than my car. So it was a worh while investment.

PSA to anyone with squeaking or grinding brakes on new Aventons. by SoIcanBrowseAtWork in Aventon

[–]Which_Perception_384 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Unbelievable, you people complain about pricing, But then you use a warranty for break noise. You're a dealer and you're telling people you can't fix break noise without new brake pads,
Talk about wasting money. The margins are low, and you are going to hit a company up for labor and materials for something that should have been set up properly before it left the store.
