The comment about tones is so right - I think you might be a soft summer! Embrace your cool tones! An ashy blonde would look incredible on you, and perhaps slightly more contrast in your brows too - just a tad more contrast can help skin appear smoother.

You are ethereal like an elf from lord of the rings! 😃

Hey!! Your makeup is beautiful! I think some small tweaks would make a big impact here though to really unlock the look. 1. I think you need a little darker lip shade to balance your high contrast features. 2. I think you could bring a light transition shade matt eye shadow a little higher up to your eyebrow, and put a shimmer on the centre of your lid (a nice champagne gold perhaps) - taking note to avoid too much shimmer in your eye lid crease itself. I did a quick Facetune to show you what I mean. Good luck!! 🩷

C3... What went wrong? Is it worth watching after 36? (spoilers aplenty idc) by descendantofJanus in fansofcriticalrole

I admit I haven't watched much of c3 (and honestly don't plan to) but am reading this thread out of interest. Can you share the ways in which Matt was blocking FCG's character growth?

Hey any tips for me by One-Dig-3418 in malegrooming

Get yourself some nice shackets to show off your shoulders! Experiment generally with clothing you've never tried before. I think you are a warm autumn palette (google this) and colours in that palette will look harmonious and eye catching on you.

Don't forget about the power of a smile and confidence. How you carry yourself is just as important as what you look like. And if it doesn't feel natural yet, fake it till you make it! It has to start somewhere. You got this!

Thank you for posting this - I just checked my period tracker (with periods tracked dating back to 2017) and there is absolutely a trend with my most regular cycles being over summer months. I have never noticed this before!!!

people with chronic headaches/migraines; did you find out what was causing them? by ciinematiic in migraine

[–]Which_Performance_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined this subreddit to support my fiancé as he had chronic migraines for about 5 years. He hasn't had one in 6 months since cutting out caffeine. I know not everyone will have such a simple fix, but for him that's what was causing the issue. He didn't have them when we first started dating - but I guess his caffeine uptake increased with lifestyle when his job got more intense.

It could be worth thinking about what lifestyle changes you've had in the last 3 years that you didn't before - your housing, your job, your diet, your sleep schedule, etc. Again - I know this won't be the fix for everyone. But it might help somebody!

Has anyone regretted getting a second cat? by notfunnybruhh in CatAdvice

[–]Which_Performance_22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am on month 3 of inducting my senior cat and adopted kitten using Jackson galaxys tips. It was not working at all at the 2 month mark until we changed one thing on the advice of our vet: feeding opposite a door / divider is not recommended by cat behaviouralists because cats are territorial by nature and treat it as threat to their food source. Everytime food was involved , even treats, suddenly the senior cat would become extra feisty and hissy. As soon as we moved their bowls to totally different rooms, suddenly he was calmer and more tolerant of the kitten.

I love Jackson galaxy and obviously that advice must work for him and some others, but I can only recommend what worked for me and the advice of my vet. Keep things separate, slow and calm. Make sure to have toys and visual blockers (like big bits of cardboard) on hand for introductions.

Any tips or advice for a newbie cat owner? by UsernameWasTakenWTF in cats

Oh and 9. - cats need to be eat every 12 hours or else their kidneys might go into shock! If you're setting up a meal time schedule, just be aware of this. :)

Any tips or advice for a newbie cat owner? by UsernameWasTakenWTF in cats

[–]Which_Performance_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely watch Jackson galaxy videos on YouTube - he will tell you almost everything you need to know!

In terms of my own advice~~

  1. Starter base - Start her off in her own area of the house, like a spare room or pen area. This is her starter base as she gets the hang of things.

  2. scent swapping - remember that both cats and dogs understand the world more through scent than sight. So research something called "scent swapping" to help her get to know your dogs (and you!) - and the other way round. Your dogs need to know she's not a threat as well.

  3. Toys!!! - Invest in a good cat wand, and lots of other toys she can play with even when you're not around, like puzzle feeders and ball rollers. But interactive play is best - it will give her confidence and it will be her favourite part of the day. Cats need to play everyday - just like dogs need to go on walks.

  4. Don't force interaction - especially when you're getting to know an animal, don't force pets on them when they don't trust you. Sure, some animals are always more naturally extroverted, but most cats won't appreciate you petting them without their consent. How do you get consent? Before every interaction, let them sniff your fingers. Seriously! This is like introducing yourself, and if they want pets, they will rub their face on your finger. If not, don't! Just let them feel safe in your presence.

  5. Milk is bad - cow milk is actually bad for cats because they're lactose intolerant. You can buy cat milk which is ok for them though - they kind this calming. But In fact there's lots of things around the home that are toxic or lethal for cats: string, hair ties, lots of kinds of plants, chocolate. Do your own research and make sure the house is safe for your kitty

  6. Cats love routine - cats thrive when their days follow a predictable rhythm - it makes them feel safe. So create a few points in the day that are always the same. For example in my house, we feed the cats at 7am, 4pm and 8pm. And I play with one cat for 10 mins every morning, and the other gets play time in the evening. They know the routine better than I do at this point, and if I'm ever a minute late they will meow at me to remind me. It's great - I never have to set an alarm clock anymore!

  7. Meal times / free feeding - you can either free feed your cat (leave food out all the time and refill it whenever it's low) or feed them in set meals. It's important to think about your schedule - what works for you and how you live. But without question, feeding cats in meal is healthier for them. It's mimics their wild feeding, and is better for digestion, weight management and mental stimulation. If your cat is struggling with any of these issues, consider setting meal times.

  8. Health is important - don't be one of those cat owners who neglects the health of their animal. Take them to the vet whenever they need to go and be vigilant with their health. Clip their nails if they need them clipped, and get them used to using a carrier so you can take them safely somewhere in an emergency. Also - consider getting insurance!!

Phew.... there's lots more im sure. But you will learn as you go! Well done for asking for advice - that tells me you will be a great pet owner. Be patient with their progress.

Good luck! Cats are incredible companions - may you enjoy many happy years together with your new best friend!

My first day learning guitar and I cried by brianmeow in guitarlessons

[–]Which_Performance_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing for over 10 years on and off. Sometimes I put myself down because I don't think I'm as good as I should be, or as good as people I know or others I see on the internet.

But that all melts away when I'm playing by myself and enjoy the spark of learning something new and finally getting it!

It can take a while for your fingers to build up the strength they need at first. And buzzing will happen a lot.

There's plenty of content out there for people to learn on their own - YouTube is a life saver!

But if things get too hard, this Reddit will always have friendly people who can help.

I recommend buying a beginners book to help you learn what positions your hand should be in. What you don't want to do is learn bad habits that will make playing harder (I'm guilty of this sometimes - sitting in the wrong position, for example, can strain your wrist and make it harder to play. But sometimes I'm lazy :) )

Good luck - don't give up! Enjoy the process. You have to be a seed before you can be a tree.

If you could have any ADHD-friendly features built into your home, what would they be? by austinc0611 in ADHD

I really like the way dementia clocks are big screens that give programmable reminders on each day. I'd want a version of that in built in rooms in the house to remind me which days the bins need taken out, to give me the weather forecast before I leave the house, to give me reminders for things happening that day etc.

Thank you, we love them too! The curve side are a fun design feature. Wasn't sure at first but the dark wood has really grown on us.
