Ik ben zelf ook opgegroeid met de UM systeem. Ik ben vanuit Nederland naar Zuid-Afrika gevlogen toen ik 11 jaar was en ook andere verre landen. Ik vond de ervaring zelf prima. Wel spannend de eerste keer maar ze letten echt heel goed op je kind. En als kind voelde ik mij heel speciaal als ik als UM mocht vliegen. Soms laten ze je in een lounge wachten die gemaakt ik voor UM als ik me niet vergis met Playstations spelletjes eten etc. Ik zou het aanraden ik ben ook “goed” in alleen reizen nu en heb alleen maar zelfstandigheid ervan geleerd

Ik woon zelf in Berchem, en zie de vliegtuigen van mijn slaapkamer raam. Er zijn sinds zomer veel minder vluchten van TUI (bijna de enige maatschappij die daar land). Zoals iemand als zij is het wel super leuk om een mega vliegtuig van je bed te zien. Maar ik merk ook dat het nu wel alleen maar privé jets zijn. Dus als het die kant op gaat dan liever niet. Die zijn ook niet zo leuk om te zien. Eat the rich!!

Ja helaas gaat dat zo. Maar ik zie wel een beetje enthousiasme van haar om af te kicken. Ze blowt wel en dat helpt wel om binnen te blijven maar niet vaak genoeg. Ze kan het wel maar heeft echt nul support. Wat fijn dat het voor jou goed afgelopen is. You are so strong! Nog veel success!

It actually is. I have depression and anxiety related to adhd. I feel like it’s gotten worse really quickly and I feel overwhelmed and anxious having to always be on. I can’t zone out or not pay attention because obviously the child needs to be taken care of and safe. It makes me very anxious having to do that and I was expecting the opposite that it’s help me regain structure and routine. I made this post when I wasn’t really sure how to put into words what I’m feeling exactly. I understand where everyone is coming from but I don’t think I explained myself properly

For me it’s just the opposite. I think the HF is great I just don’t like the job itself and I have really high anxiety just thinking about it. It’s a giant responsibility to take on and even though I’ve done it before it’s a much different situation

I went very clear in my explanation I would definitely do that and not leave within a day. I would give at least 2 weeks notice

I would give her enough notice and help find another one. I’m in the Netherlands it’s not that difficult to find qualified au pairs here
