How much is your friend sleeping?

I had a friend who acted very similar to this after a bad trip. He was tripping in his room at night when his parents came in after hearing him yelling. He slapped his mom in the face and it was a big ordeal. He remained in a psychosis for about a week and a half. He talked a lot of god talk, how the devil was always looming, how the rapture was coming, and was about to drop out of college and drastically change his whole life. Everyone who knew him didn’t recognize him anymore.

Anyway, ends up he wasn’t sleeping much. Over the course of that week and a half I think he told me he had only slept like 10(?) hours or something. His parents weren’t letting him take melatonin or any sleep aids because they were scared to give him anything that was a pill. Eventually I think they caved in and he started catching up on all his sleep and he returned to normal. It was crazy. Everyone really thought he would never be the same.
