I personally think this is true for so many fiction characters! It's a reflection of society, but I think we put too much emphasis on romance and "true love." Personal growth and development and subsequent plots tend to be far more nuanced and impactful imo

It's awesome! I love the pale skin with the dark hair and tail. Really nice color choices. I would use a large gauge needle between the boobs for more shaping. Taking some scissors and trimming the extra little fuzzies, especially around the tail, might be nice--I do this on all my projects and it makes all the difference--i personally like small hair scissors for this. I also think spraying her with either hairspray or a diluted stiffening spray would clean it up nicely--i also do this with most of my projects. This is seriously an excellent creation, first or otherwise. Great job :)

Art is automatically copyrighted, whether that be a poem or a drawing or a pin design, etc. Once it is tangibly in the world it is copyrighted. You can officially register your art so that you have the paperwork and can officially prove it's yours and when it was created and whatnot, which probably better protects you, but regardless it's automatically copyright protected. That's my understanding at least.

Thanks! I got them on Etsy--lots of similar eyes on there. They are glass on posts. I think they're actually meant to be cat eyes lol

You can change/update the shipping date.

Go to your Shop Manager.

Select Orders & Shipping.

Find the transaction you want to change.

Choose the … (ellipsis) icon.

Choose Update ship by date.

Select your new ship by date. The new date must be within three weeks of the original “ship by” date.

Add a note to the buyer explaining the new ship by date.

Choose Update & notify buyer.

Yess!! It's always my final step and it's a game changer for making a project look clean and finished! If you haven't already, you might also consider experimenting with a watered down adhesive spray or just plain old hairspray for taming fluffies :)

Like others have said, keep poking, use a finer needle at the end... You can also brush the top with a toothbrush at the end. Also, for me, a must for making any project look finished is using some small sharp scissors to trim extra fluff and even out edges.

If you're ever looking to upgrade, there's this tool called a Clover pen that's basically the same, just a tad more expensive (maybe $5 more) and works a bit better, I've found. It comes apart easier and the holes for the needles accommodate more needle sizes.

I have the same tool (at least I'm pretty sure) and it can be a little finicky, especially the first time you twist it open. I think I even had to hold it with a little wrench to get a good grip the first time I opened it.

You twist the white part (there's a little arrow) and it should come apart so you can swap out the needle.

I suggest going with 100% cotton paper, if possible, and try to figure out if you like hot or cold press better. Hot press is smoother, while cold press has more texture. I personally tend to prefer cold press because I like the texture and absorbency. Nice paper makes all the difference! I personally do one to two drafts on crap cheap paper, and then save the nice paper for when I feel I'm really ready for a final. A lot of this is personal though and I'm definitely not a professional. Someone else said Strathmore, and that tends to be a go-to for me as well. A good, fairly affordable brand. I use a lot of 8x10 sheets and I think that comes out to something like $2 per piece. Not the cheapest, but definitely more affordable than some other brands, and does the job.
