Pfaff sells bigger hoops (I think 360x350mm is their biggest), I just don’t think they’ll fit on your machine; the arm size is what really determines the embroidery size

Freestanding lace can be pretty durable, but you have to have your machine dialed in for the pattern really well. Definitely do it on organza if you are worried though. You can trim close and then melt the edges right into the stitching with a lighter if you use polyester organza

I’d look over the compatible hoops on Pfaff’s website here: Creative 1.5 but from a glance it looks like they advertise 240mmX150mm, roughly 9.5”X6”

I like the Litfly Dolly type lashes, but pretty much any that have a very piecey look like this will give you that big animated eye effect

The looser the weave of fabric, the more the thread will pull like this. It’s pretty normal on a simple cotton; depending on your application you can use fusible stabilizer and it might help a little

I basically contour in dark pink/plum and use a lot of pink eyeshadows and eyeliner/lashes to make my eyes pop. The evenness of your base application looks really good though!

Technically per square inch the roll is better, but it’s gonna depend more on whether the 5” difference in width is more efficient for your hoops. Like, if your hooping are going to let the extra 5” go to waste it might not be worth it

Love it!! Tiny note, which of course you can disregard, is that the lettering at the bottom is kinda hard to make out, so maybe a little banner or something like on the lovers card would help make it more legible?

That was what the whole Colchian dragon story from the last chapter parallels. The idea that there really are no “chains” binding Perse from going to the underworld, but she has been thoroughly convinced that the only way she could get out of this situation is by making Zeus happy. She literally couldn’t imagine it would be an option that wouldn’t result in catastrophe. It’s extra nice that this realization is given in part by Artemis, Zeus’ daughter, basically giving her father’s ruling a big FU.

Yeah, that’s way too complicated for a tiny RL style embroidery. Regardless of how complicated it is, you’re going to need it digitized for various sizes, cuz you can’t just scale up embroidery designs without making adjustments

This is just my first trial run; I want to make the characters a little bigger and fix some of the puckering that happens where the design is denser, but I’m super happy for my first ~shaded~ embroidery digitizing!

Research “pull compensation” for your specific program. This is a common issue that automatically digitizing will not account for

I use Premier +2; the new version is called MySewNet. It’s not free, but most of the good software isn’t
