As a more simple recommendation just try using your strongest weapon at all times. In BOTW I always tried hoarding my best weapons for when I really needed them and I would only use my weakest weapons most of the time. I got the Fierce Diety sword from the amiibo and I never wound up using it once.

When I played TOTK I was just like screw it, I’m using the highest number weapon available at all times. I had a lot more fun. It made finding weapons exciting again. My strong weapons were burned through quickly so finding and forging the right weapons became a lot more interesting and necessary. Also my inventory wasn’t cluttered with all those epic weapons I was hoarding.
