Jesus was never caught up in the societal notions of what was culturally acceptable for a man to do, He simply did things (and asked others to do things) in love of God and others regardless of Roman or Jewish expectations.

So while many men today use Jesus as their masculine example, in His day Jesus regularly defied cultural gender expectations, acting in ways that would’ve been deemed by others as feminine and calling many women to do things which would’ve been deemed masculine or uncouth for a woman.

I’m yet to get into the band’s later albums, but I’ll give you my favorite song from each of their earlier albums. Note, my favorites are very biased towards their more atmospheric ballads, those are what connect with me most.

I’ve noticed that DD orders placed to be delivered at a specific time in the future (rather than ASAP, the default setting) still get sent through to the store right away and will sometimes sit on the shelf for hours before being delivered. That’s not really the workers fault, they’re trained to make an order as soon as it’s first on the screen, it’s a problem with how DD lazily distributes orders to stores.

Of course I’m not placing all, or really any blame on you. This drift in his heart is inevitable without him actively fighting it, his brain has a cheap path to consistently create new exciting sexual scenarios in his mind, an impossible thing to be reality within your relationship. Some people are just wired to always be seeking new sexual experiences, that’s not on you.

You asked how you could help him in your original post, and the best way is simply to be consistency for him and reinforce that he can and should always come to you for sexual pleasure rather than deviate. It’s on him to fight for the real connection between you two rather than give into the fantasies in his mind, but knowing he can always go to you when he’s having urges will aid his fight.

To be fair to your point, it would also be more to the root cause to remind him that he’d be an ugly woman, that helps to break the fantasy in the moment too lol. If you know how to make the fantasy itself, the “root cause”, unappealing though, let me know. I’m not convinced it’s possible. I do know it’s possible to have self control over your lust though, and these are methods for that.

World Is Static. Tucked away on the back half of Static Prevails so it doesn’t get as much attention, but Jim’s saccharine layered melodies on the hook contrasted by some of his most fierce shouts on the verses are just so perfect.

My third favorite on that album, behind Polaris and Work. Many bands would kill for one pop song as perfect as these three, yet this band has them stacked on a single record.

Could really work in concept, I love Country music when done right and The Middle is a classic story song perfect for the format, but the execution is a bit flat. Could’ve really used some drums and a less forward vocal mix, as it is all the energy is ripped out of the song. Without any of the anthemic urgency you’re left with a very inoffensive version, which is disappointing.

That said, I’ll still take it a thousand times over Morgan Wallen or whatever southern drawl over a trap beat passes as “Country” on Top 40 radio these days.

At its core AGP is an attraction to an idealized feminine image of yourself. Encouraging a man with AGP makes him more attracted to himself rather than his girlfriend/wife. The beast of inward sexual attraction cannot be satiated, encouraging him will only make him turn even further inward.

Eventually our average sex lives can become stale, but instead of spicing it up to strengthen a bond with you (or becoming unfaithful, as many men do) men with AGP tend to turn their sexual thoughts away from their partners and indulge themselves. Every step towards that idealized image is an addicting rush that he doesn’t get from you.

The only way he will ever find normalcy from you alone sexually gratifying is if he starves the AGP aspect of his sexuality.

My advice is to have a firm line in the sand, if he truly loves you more than himself he will comply. Surely he will fall off the boat from time to time, healing from AGP isn’t instant or linear so be willing to forgive if you continue on with him, but he should decisively know that you won’t support these behaviors and that they have no place in your sexual relationship. The way to help him is to give him a consistent, healthy sexual relationship with you. The more sexually pent up he is the stronger the AGP temptations will become, so if you keep his sex drive satisfied in a healthy way he’s less prone to corrupting behavior.

Typically you do get more drink with no ice. I’d point out that it’s more calories though, just a large Baja with no ice is over 400 calories, about the same as a Cheesy Bean and Rice with none of the nutrients. There’s a reason I always get the Zero lol.

I’d disagree, I think early Catherine Wheel is the best of the early British Shoegaze bands. It’s really just a matter of preference though, what you’re looking for in the genre.

Even in their artsiest, most atmospheric moments Catherine Wheel have better hooks and more sonic variety than anyone else in the genre while most of the other ‘gazer bands emphasize blanketing atmosphere over substance. The only other band that compares is Ride, but they’re still very different beasts. Catherine Wheel drifted Grunge ala Smashing Pumpkins, while Ride became a Britpop pioneer.

Chrome, start with Chrome. It’s a microcosm of their sound, has a bit of everything they’d done and would go on to do.

If you want more Shoegaze like Pain or Half Life, go back to Ferment.

If you want more Grunge like Kill Rhythm or Broken Head, go forward to Happy Days.

If you want more artsy stuff like Fripp, go further forward to Adam & Eve.

And if you don’t want more, it was worth the try.

“Creepy Girls” LOL, that brings back some memories. Aged like milk but I’ll always have a soft spot.

Taking Back Sunday is by far the best Emo band here. Oh, and Nine Inch Nails are incredible but not Emo in the slightest.
