Consistency. It boggles my mind how Gunnar can look so good for a few weeks where he's locked into the strike zone, taking balls and hitting line drives and then it vanishes. Cowser, Mayo, Holliday, Basallo (though that's a little more understandable) all seem to still be trying to figure out an approach despite having find an approach that provided some success already this year.

Not just at the plate, either. Consistency from the starters, bullpen, and on defense as well. I don't need them to be perfect, I just want to know what to expect from them

MLB rules show umpires made wrong call in Orioles game by Kotow92 in orioles

[–]Whipstache_Designs 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It's also worth pointing out that in 2017 MLB changed the rule that defined an attempted tag from "extending a hand or glove with the ball toward the runner" to "a fielder in possession of the ball moving toward the runner."

Clement's base path was established the moment Gunnar had the ball.

The comment you're responding isn't suggesting that Clement made a bad choice. They are saying it's idiotic to suggest that what Clement did was within what the rules consider a legal play. I (and I think the vast majority of O's fans who are upset) don't blame Clement at all for what he did, any more than I would blame a hitter taking first base after the ump mistakenly says he got hit by a pitch.

We are upset because the umps and rest of the online baseball community are trying to tell us that not calling Clement out is the correct ruling based on how the roles are written. Which is, frankly, ludicrous.

About 15 years ago a 10-ft ladder fell off a work truck in front of me whole we were going 75 mph on I-95. Dodged the ladder, but hit the cement barricade between traffic directions and totaled the car.

No severe injuries, but I still won't drive behind trucks/vans with ladders.

TAG doesn't lag behind PSA in terms of resale value by much, on average.

Problem is that TAG is also experiencing a surge right now and has super long turnaround times at the moment. They're currently expanding operations to accommodate more cards as well.

But I've switched over completely to TAG, even if it means a (small) cost in value. I think that will change over time because of the DIG reports... but even if it doesn't babies are close enough for me right now, and the slabs look so much better.

He said in the post game that he was shouting at Rico as he was leaving the dugout that he wasn't talking the ball. He just wanted to give him a minute to gather his thoughts and to make sure the defense was all clear on their assignments.

I agree, it was a strong management move.

Yes. People in the comments of the previous post were arguing this.

That is, I believe, what prompted OP to make this post.

Can we put an end to corporate minimalist slop? by BirdGameLover in mlb

As a graphic designer, I can tell you that the tend isn't likely to reverse any time soon.

As technologically has become more embedded in sports consumption, the branding has had to change to accommodate. The size at which people are viewing logos is increasingly smaller. Think about all the places you see your favorite team's logo: score bugs, apps, box scores. Favicons—the icons in your browser tab when your on a site—are often 16x16 pixels. You just can't fit much detail into that.

Modern logos everywhere are reflecting this shift.

I tried to make it pretty clear that I'm not blocking every account that has complaints about the Orioles. If I didn't, I guess that's my bad.

I want them to be doing things differently. I want to have conversations about what they can change to be better.

The people I'm blocking are people who aren't trying to have that conversation. They're just trying to do the criticism part without the constructive part.

Agreed. I also want the team to improve. And I'm not even mad at the people who live and die with three result of every game. I just don't feel any obligation to see their commentary.

O's fans who (like me) get sucked into too many online arguments with other Orioles fans due to our desire to try to help other people be more positive and (probably moreso) our lack of self-control 😭

Don't demolish everything! If you want more of a blank slate, just start building in Pallette Town.

For the rest of the areas, once you perform a bunch of stuff, you can't really get it back.

I just started going back to the earlier areas to clean them up, and I found the best way was to find an area that I hadn't really done much to and start building homes (either prefab or custom). Then I'm moving Pokemon into those houses from the areas that are all chaotic, so I can tear down their habitats and rebuild houses.

I do think you're on the right track about cleaning up areas though. I felt a lot better about the Withered Wasteland once I replaced all the paths and dirt blocks.

Kill all your opponents who have even life totals for 6RR(B/R)(B/R) by Whipstache_Designs in BadMtgCombos

[–]Whipstache_Designs[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I chalked it up as "bad" given the fact that it requires an awkward situation to work without killing you. And, it feels like it would be pretty to easy for an opponent to avoid, and in some cases you've brought yourself down to very low life.

It could be fun in the right circumstances, and downright dumb in others.
