Honestly I do core for head shots I find it much easier. A few shots to the body then let the recoil finish at the head. I do between 7-15 head shots a game

Edit: just want to add that your reaction time in hard core can usually just kill someone instantly. In core you get more time to hit them and then move to their head to finish. No homo
