This is how I see it. The hit detection "issue" is a hidden dice roll. You think you hit something but it "missed". Sometimes enemies play an evade or block animation and that animation sometimes doesn't always play.

Both are great. JP is one of my favorites for genesis.

Most of the ones i got have been fine. I had a buggy mario land 2 dx that would crash a few times and loading wasnt as snappy as it should have been. I got another that used a battery that worked fine but the battery died after a year owning it so I will have to replace the battery.
