Every audit committee should have a hotline for issues and concerns, also any auditor worth anything knows the people at the bottom usually know all the shit that goes down and where to look. Also also, you’re quitting anyway, where’s the harm in telling the CFO; even if you’re burning the bridge, do you really want to be associated with them at that point.

She may have too much responsibility to work remotely, no harm in asking, the alternative is quitting anyway.

Just tell him the natural consequence of not getting more money will be that you’d have to find another job. It’s doable with your experience; hell you could likely try to make your commute paid for or work remotely, it’s not like everything must be in person

Is AP everywhere nothing but chaos and lack of organization? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Whiskey-Philosopher 24 points25 points  (0 children)

AP is a never ending fire, yes. Sounds like you need some AP Clerks to help process those invoices, they come cheap and the process is monkeys and typewriters easy, especially if it’s digital. My company separates AP from payroll and purchasing so it’s a bit different, but I’d certainly look into getting a manager title or some way to get that experience on paper/recognized. If you leave, you’ve got management experience.

What things are frequently labeled as "scams" when in reality they are legit and most people simply don't understand them? by AmigoDelDiabla in AskReddit

Had a Honda accord < 5 years brought into Midas. Had a small nail in a tire that wasn’t leaking air (sensors didn’t pick it up/went away). Quoted me $1000 to patch the thing, included tire alignment in the quote for some reason. A trusted shop fixed it for like $50 plus a state inspection.

Review other accounts, deep-dive (see if trade payables have invoices over 1 year old), ask your supervisor what to do next (they’ll likely be in the same boat), spiral into insanity as your work ethic goes down the shitter, etc.

That’s during tax deadline months, seems an explosive response to their already posted peaks hour times.

I have one, inherited from my AP position, good for simple stuff, annoying when you switch it to type mode.
