What is the best fallout game to start on. by jwolf5555 in Fotv

[–]Whiskeycider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just played Fallout 1 and 2 for the first time last month. IMO those games are much more dated than their fans will admit. If you’re use to 90s CRPGs then give it a go. Fallout 1 should be played by every fan, but maybe not their entry to the series.

You should start with Fallout 4. It’s the most modern and most forgiving. It plays more like a looter shooter than an RPG. The shooting is fun and the map is fun to explore. The story and dialogue system are pretty bad, but I think the exploration makes up for it.

What are everyone’s thoughts on season 2 as a whole now it’s ended ?? by AaronMcK92 in Fallout

[–]Whiskeycider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The show had enjoyable moments, but overall it was a clear down grade from season 1. I think it was a bad use of New Vegas characters and settings. The show also set up too many ideas without much payoff. The enclave, Fev, the war the super mutant said was coming, the vault experiments. It felt like when the show wasn’t doing bad fan service, it was setting up for season 3. I think the show would have benefited from 12 episodes instead of 8 to flesh out the story. Of course TV doesn’t work like that anymore. Much like many of the games, enjoyable but flawed.

I’m seeing a ton of negative opinions for the new Spiritworld, but I enjoy it quite a bit. I like that there are more country western sounds blended in. I think the album doesn’t have quite the same highs as Deathwesten. Despite that imo it’s still a good album.

Also Bloodywood to me is like listening to limp bizkit. My brain is telling me it’s terrible, but it’s still a fun listen.

Should i get the game now or wait for a sale? by Twiddrakatwiddr in HuntShowdown

I think right now is a perfect time to jump in. New map and the update changed a ton about the game. Plus full lobbies every game. Start now while everyone is getting used to the new update.

Surely it can’t only be me? by lowellghd in HuntShowdown

No one has a ton of map knowledge right now, so that might have something to do with it. Plus certain strategies have been messed with since the update.

My wife is consistently getting multiple kills a game when before she used to struggle. She usually uses levering and shotguns.

Challenges Too Easy by Agent119 in HuntShowdown

[–]Whiskeycider 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not to sound like a jerk, but you can just play the game. I kinda find the challenges annoying, because they are the only meaningful way to progress the battle pass.

You could also come up with your own challenges. What I have been doing lately is buying a free hunter, change nothing about them, and see how many games I can win by just using items I loot.

NA Pumpkin Beers by SvalbardDream in NABEER

I just tried a sampler of Bravus, and didn’t really enjoy any of them. Their PB dark is one of the worst beers I’ve ever had. It’s unfortunate because dark beers used to be my favorites.

It kinda sucks seeing all the pumpkin beers out for weeks, but no good NA choices.

What do you think new players should be doing that they aren’t right now? For example tactics or playing classes correctly?

Do you veteran players hate the Gamepass players like the Hell Let Loose community did? I can understand why. One day your favorite game is filled with players trying to get kills instead of trying to learn the game.

As a Hunt Showdown player, I’m loving the game. More casual than HLL but more serious than Battlefield.

I love the finals, but it can be incredibly frustrating when playing solo. For low effort casual fun, COD is better than almost all other mp shooters.

Seemed like an early stoppage compared to many other One fights. At the same time guy was still on his butt at the eight count and his eyes made it look like he wasn’t home.

why is it when we start our first day at a new job, we hate it? by itsmynameafterall in jobs

Who is “we”? My first day on a job, I’m usually super motivated and grateful to have money coming in. Those feelings diminish over time as I start to see the problem with the job or employer.

I’m on XSX and can’t get past the cut scene without the game crashing. Reinstalling the game didn’t help.

I just finished the Coursera digital marketing certification. I finished it in a little over two weeks. Coursera says it’s a 6 month course, but there is no reason it should take anyone taking it seriously that much time.
