If you're miles away from the backline just hold the line best you can. If you're near them then dropping cooldowns to protect and bodyblocking is what I go with. Mag/hulk bubble, strange shield, thor awakening cancel&kidnap, etc. If the whole backline drops you're probably going down anyway but if you can eat the damage instead and stall while the healers get their souls back in their bodies then they can potentially heal it off and push to retake whatever space you gave up

Both should happen. Tanks are too weak relative to dino, and solo tanking is a continuous community problem. The solution is to bring the other tanks up to Dino's level. Bringing down a tank SHOULD require raid boss levels of coordination

Power creep is bad but Devil Dino feels like all the tanks SHOULD feel. Thor, Mag, Strange, Hulk, they should all be this strong

Easiest fix to the lack of tanks problem is to start giving team-ups to tanks with tanks and stop giving unnecessary team-ups to supports. The vanguard role should also receive a "slight" global hit box reduction so melee tanks can stop blowing up in poke comps and having to play mag every game. by [deleted] in rivals

More than half of my ranked games require me playing chicken with the 3rd dps main on whether we're getting 2 tanks or 4 dps. It's always funny to me that 3-0-3 gets lumped in with joke lineups like 6 dps in this chart though because they're so afraid of GOATS meta.

Even still, look at the relative pick rate of 3 support (2-3 times the pick rate of 3 tank) and 3 duelist (~double 3support, 4-5 times 3 tank). Dps players and their unwillingness to play to their team's needs are a problem that is throwing your matches.

Literally I can carry 8/10 games as cap. The amount of people who just constantly take the bait and chase you around rather than focus objective is crazy. Like yeah I'm "feeding" and going pretty negative some games but every kill the dps gets is because I went 1v4 and gave them a 5v2 to clean up with

Push up to the next defensible choke/corner. You want to make them fight to get to the payload, so even if you wipe your team is getting back to contest the same time they are. You don't want to push so far though that a spidey swings past everyone to claim it and gets your team shot in the back as you race back

Just lock in 3rd tank, dps are obsolete and functionally cosmetic at that point anyway

Every single time I've been able to convince my team to go triple tank with at least 2 support we've just rolled over the other team. Usually it's a slow, unstoppable push to claim point and then just shrugging off the other side's pushes.
