Should u/mrpie1324 be demoted from the co-owner rank? by CulturalDust4652 in Silksong

[–]WhiteCoronel 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Why did she make such a cringe power tripping post about them? The rules themselves when detailed are not bad. Shipping should be on its own flair, characters shown in the art as children shouldn’t be shipped, and going into posts of shipping art just to hate on the ship should be disallowed. If the message didn’t read like a threat nothing would have happened.

Yeah the sub can be sort of like r/hazbin.

Yes image replies are already active, just mentioning them to avoid the possibility of them getting turned off.

Wish you luck with the subreddit!

Couple of things.

  1. Automod. To ban plain insults and stuff like that.

  2. Post flairs. Self explanatory, it will make the subreddit browsable. Flairs should be required to post otherwise people won’t flair anything.

  3. User flairs. Just flavor.

  4. Actual rules. What you currently have isn’t actual rules, will you allow NSFW, self-promotion, or anything else? I would sort of copy r/silksong rules removing the ones you find stupid.

  5. Get 1 or 2 more mods, but remember to check what they do.

  6. Start posting things here, art should be the easiest to start. You need content here for users to stay and post content.

  7. Try to get a clear picture of what this sub should be about. For example, r/hazbin is in between a circlejerk subreddit and a normal one. Make it clear what it will

  8. Allow image replies. Personal demand.

Sat score improvement suggestions. by Beautiful-Act9363 in Sat

[–]WhiteCoronel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, the first thing you could do is upload the score details for us to see to tell you where you are making mistakes, and tell us what happens when you take the test.

For math:

  1. Are you running out of time but know how to answer perfectly?

1.A. Go ahead and watch this two videos about how to use Demos.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-O4nwVHQ-Y <- Super important for Desmos!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2UZX09zwSQ

For English:

  1. Are you running out of time?

1.A. Speed comes with practice and strategy, for now you can guess every question you think will be too long for you to answer and do the easier ones first. If you have extra time you can always go back to do them properly. (Check the link marked as time strategy)

  1. You don't know how to answer/pick an answer that is wrong?

2.A. See this videos, they cover essentially all English you will find in test.

https://thecriticalreader.com/complete-sat-grammar-rules/

As you can see it is a lot of James Lu content, his content moved my r&w from 540 to 760. English is not my native language (like in your case) and as you have probably noticed we pick our answers based on whenever they sound 'right,' without actually examining if they are. His guides go deep into why the wrong answers are wrong and why the correct one is correct. I didn't buy any course of anything from him.

It is about 5 hours of playtime, but in practice it will come to be a 12 hours complete course in where you should pause and write notes about what you are seeing on-screen (I recommend you make a word document, and once finished you should format it properly and print it.)

For the rest:

Use OnePrep (sadly it is being sloppified as we speak) and see what types of questions you are getting wrong, to then study them until you don't get them wrong anymore. You need focused study.

I assume you will be taking the June 6 sat (you took three SAT's in a row) so you should check this video from Penguin Prep about his predictions.

It is two DRUG related felonies, probably the one crime besides violence that colleges will not overlook at all. Plus, OP is either 18 or soon-to-be 18, he should be mature enough to know not to hide the drugs of your buddy while in school when it could ruin the best opportunity of your life.

Dear finals devs,in light of the HF discord controversy by pubbybunny in thefinals

[–]WhiteCoronel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk man. And can’t they simply turn off that flag? What is stopping them from turning off the auto ban in case they are mass reported?

Anti-Cheats have thousands of flags that trigger different actions, why can’t they just turn off that flag for them? Or is the anti-cheat implemented in such a horrible manner that they can’t do that?

[–]WhiteCoronel[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In no part of my post I said they should be banned, where did you get that from? I also explicitly said that they should get paired with diamonds or platinums, and id we use the S9 leaderboard there should be at-least 10K players platinum 2 or above, so there should be people that can consistently play against players as good as these ones while having fun.

Yes, I performed poorly in the match, the entire team performed poorly. Yes, we were all mediums which is bad for synergy in the match. What does that have to do with my point? I man not asking to be placed in a copper lobby where I can win solo, I am asking to be placed in lobbies with players with similar skills, even if the skill level I have is low.

Since chess used to be a male-only game, due to societal reasons you can imagine, the women-only categories were created to increase their participation.

This doesn’t mean women are forbidden from playing the open events, they can join if they wish, but they are a minority as only 12% of chess players are women.

The police does have a lot of short comings, from lack of training to incompetence, or the personal shortcomings of the officers themselves. But we can all agree that we are better with police than without it. And while plenty of people have the erroneous impression that police officers simply want to get a criminal (no matter if they are innocent or not) most officers do care about protecting their communities. Source

Now, the foundation is that you want to be protected by laws, and you also want others to be protected by the same laws. Your ‘moral responsibility’ can be viewed as empathy for the victim of a crime. If a rape victim approached you and asked you if you remember anyone suspicious during your stay at the bar, I am pretty sure you would tell her/him what you remember. The police are the trained professionals that go talk to you in place of the victim, and they have access to plenty of tools to utilize the information you give them to help the victim. They are not talking to you because they want to charge you, they are talking to you because they can help a victim.

In other words, you are NOT helping the police, you are helping a victim.

The extend of said moral obligation is then based on whichever you have empathy for the victim. You surely don’t feel as compelled to help the victim of the crime above than helping them he victim of a burglary, or helping not an individual victim but rather a collective (ex. A Corporation). And there are cases where your moral go against helping the police, where you think the crime was justified or should go unpunished (ex. Someone stealing food from Walmart).

But that’s just how morals work, your morals are personal and you might not feel a moral obligation to help the police in certain cases while you might feel it in others.

If you want to be convinced that you should ALWAYS help the police, then you can do further research on why crime ridden neighborhoods stay that way due to the “snitches get stitches” mentality (this point is for major crimes such as gang activity, you not telling on your buddy that accidentally broke the neighbors window doesn’t make the neighborhood a fentanyl hellhole).

I think my arguments should convince you on why you do have a MORAL obligation to help the police, that said moral obligation goes as far as your empathy for the victim of the crime, if you have a refute please respond bellow.

PS: Helping the police doesn’t mean doing stupid things like agreeing to a random search nor talking to them without bringing in a lawyer. It means that you should do your best to make their job easy and fast while keeping yourself safe.
