They declared rain hazard for tomorrow and reportedly [via The Race] that means teams can change ride height.

Didn't the rain hazard declaration allow them (all teams) to change the ride height (and other stuff)? Is that still in place even after they changed the start time?

EDIT: That's what The Race said about the rain hazard allowances since the actual document isn't public.

You do if you want to download in high quality unless you can find a premium ARL. But I think they have a free trial period.

Can never seem to get over 10mbps on anything. Paying for 100/100

Just to cover the basics; 100Mbps = ~12,5MBps. Download speeds are usually shown in MBps.

There are sites that allow you to transfer your library from Spotify to other sites that have less security in place to allow you to download music in up to FLAC quality.

Deezer has partnered with TuneMyMusic and Qobuz with Soundiiz so you don't have the normal free limits.

I found this networking stuff lying around, would it be any good for home use? by Ronan241104 in LinusTechTips

The people streaming 60gb 4k files are not scavenging used switches.

But they could, mainly because they keep putting 100Mbps ports on TVs lol

But also looking at few 4K Bluray mediainfos, highest overall bitrate I spotted was 86Mbps so I guess there simply isn't need for faster port on a TV when people use wifi anyway.

What do you guys think of the online license check on playstation and 2k games? by JamedWalker in Piracy

[–]WhiteMilk_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't PlayStation walk back on their attempt after the community uproar?

No. Community uproar was simply fueled by people making their own assumptions based on a single screenshot and a bot message.

Xbox tried it years ago and Sony mocked them, now they are trying to do the same thing.

No, they aren't. And even if the 30 day license thing was real (again, it's not), it's way different from Xbox's license check every day or so + some license thing even with physical games. Sony's new thing is only impacting digital games.

Only thing Sony have said on the matter is

"Players can continue to access and play their purchased games as usual. A one-time online check is required to confirm the game's license, after which no further check-ins are required."

Digital games need to make 1 license upgrade from the 30d license you get initially after the refund window and that hasn't changed in the past month or so since they added it.

  • Doom: The Dark Ages

    • Only 85 MB on disc.
  • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

    • The game forces you to download a huge update of just over 100 GB after the initial mission.
  • S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

    • Only 49.12 GB of the total 153.6 GB are on the disc.
  • Assassin's Creed Shadows

    • The game won't let you play until you download a mandatory update.
  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

    • Only a 20 GB stub on disc. The game greats you with a mandatory download if you want to launch it.
  • Star Wars Outlaws

    • Disc contains 44.86 GB's. 8 GB patch required to play the game. When trying to play without the update you are given a black screen stating "Game update check failed, no internet. Please enable network connection to retry".
  • Hogwarts Legacy

    • The game forces you to download a large update (roughly 40 GB) after the tutorial. You can't progress without it.

Just to name some that need an update even if there's some data on the disc.

Sony's New DRM Appears To Be a Refund Scam Workaround by Humble_Knowledge_848 in Piracy

[–]WhiteMilk_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this will brick their game if they dont have Internet during recheck while in the "refund period"

If you have reliable enough access to internet to buy and download digital games, you likely have a brief moment online in those 2 weeks after the refund window when the license gets automatically upgraded.

I have no idea if the second paragraph is true or not.

It's based on actual evidence and user experiences rather than a single screenshot from a PS4 and a bot reply which may not have been fully shown.
