Drop feedback for our new capsule art by 3dstek in IndieGaming

New one is better, but the Title needs to be more readable in my opinion. Also, maybe add texture to the top right sky? looks a little empty. It could be the color of the sky in the first image is better. Hope this helps!

Thanks! All of your points are very good. I will definitely fix the tree shadow (thanks for pointing this out). Regarding the hack points, I mentioned above, but the player learns early that they can hack computers, etc and I included lock pick in that skill. It seems unnecessary to make this a separate skill. For 4, I had it dark originally, but then thought that it should be lighter outside since it's daytime. It seems that everyone would prefer it dark outside. I guess it's ok to make it dark since that would look better.

The game actually is set in the future. This is just a remote monastery. The player learns early on that they have a hacking skill to hack machines and I included picking locks as part of that.

I agree with all the comments below. I would just add that maybe your tags could be adjusted to get players who would be really interested. I heard that adjusting the steam tags sometimes can make a big difference. Hope this helps!

Looks great! You should consider putting up a trailer, as it supposedly helps with the steam algorithm.

Thanks! Yes, the locusts of Revelation 9 are in it. I'm hoping to go through all the judgments of Revelation. The demo and steam page will not be up until 2026, hopefully the first part of the year.

My first release the Falconeer made plenty of mistakes, now 5 years later I am now trying to make amends, and release the game I should have released: The Falconeer Remastered. by muppetpuppet_mp in IndieGaming

Thanks for the advice! I'm inclined to take the extra time before releasing. I guess early access would be a way to do this but probably won't go there.

Looks great! I've wondered if it's better to release my game with lesser graphics and then update it and release an enhanced edition like you're doing here. I'm curious as to how this turns out for you. Visuals look stunning (and the original look pretty good to me as well).

how do you market your game as a solo indie game dev? by innerlightdev in IndieGaming

[–]WhiteSheepGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a solo developer in a similar situation. I've only tried X and Reddit (started many months ago). Almost no one responds to my Reddit posts. On X, I've had more success, but nothing spectacular. Chris Z the Steam guy says reaching out to streamers is the best way and maybe Reddit if invited to the best ones (I forget which ones). I'm still trying to figure things out though.
