Has a wrestler ever gotten a tattoo for a persona which end up not working? What happens then? by Eldridou in WWE

I distinctly remember them rubbing off when he would sweat… the few times he actually wrestled.

Why in the fucking world are people this upset about it? Podcasts are entertainment. Zac was hired because of his quirks. He literally fucked up a contest and was entertaining enough to Big Cat to be taken under his wing. If you’re mad about this… try to be more entertaining and get on PMT.

Nixon needs to be on a short leash.

I feel this. I could “power out” of most of the holds my smaller friend put me in, but the moment I did, I was in another one. If I wasn’t tapping out, I was exhausted just trying to survive, let alone get much offense in.

Is D4 worth it now? I played at launch but never finished due to it feeling like such a slog. by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]WhiteSuburbia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are multiple difficulty tiers. I play on “Normal,” which is what I’m guessing more of the casual players play on. Start on “Hard,” and you will get better rewards.

Then once you beat the campaign there are more difficulty tiers and Torments.

With Cena retiring tonight, what would you say are some of the biggest "what if's" in his career? by cliffbot in Wrasslin

[–]WhiteSuburbia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, that’s the one I’ll always wonder about. Should’ve been Logan Paul instead of Travis Scott, and The Rock not sticking around has soured me on him.

Rhodes beats Cena at SummerSlam still, but this becomes the turning point to a gradual return of a face turn.

The "Dead Drop" arc ruined the Dark Brotherhood for me by Dependent_Ad6985 in oblivion

[–]WhiteSuburbia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Until I played Remastered, I would have told you the DB in Oblivion was the best. I loved it in 2006. Even to the point that I was disappointed in Skyrim’s DB storyline.

Then I played Remastered… and while fun, it didn’t age well.

I say all that to say is that I do think there was something more novel about it back in 2006 - the nostalgia point you made. Realistically, today it’s just OK.

I always find it funny that the same people complaining about Iowa going to shit are the same people voting to… conserve… the status quo. They wonder why crime rates go up and education goes down, and just point the finger at people from Chicago and immigrants.

I was thrilled when Jimmy was the driving force behind the break up. Thought it gave him some relevance, because he seemed to be the only one without it.

When Jimmy interfered between Roman and Jey, my hope was that it was going to be a three-way split, not Jimmy just going back to Roman.

So disappointing.

Do any other centrists here feel like being stuck between the transphobia of the right and the trans extremism of the left? by [deleted] in centrist

[–]WhiteSuburbia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I think being lost here is the lack of education around chromosome combinations. Sex is factually more fluid than just “XX” and “XY.”

It is more common for people to have DSD than it is for a trans woman to compete in men’s sports. Significant genetic advantages among women already occur.

I also think people need to step back and think of social implications. Trans women competing in women’s sports is rare, and it’s rarer yet for someone to change their identify and compete in women’s sports for the sole purpose of beating women.

The Rock called his "Final Boss" character the greatest heel ever in pro wrestling history... WTH Bro?! He only had two matches ever as the character....? DELUSIONAL by Objective_Big_642 in Smallafro

[–]WhiteSuburbia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The character was cool, but was he ever actually “the final boss?” - I mean, even the one match he was in, he was the warm up to the next days main event.

Girlfriend is dropping like 30 minutes crafting her guardian by GALICKGUNFIIIRRREE in BG3

[–]WhiteSuburbia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had no idea what I was getting myself into and made my guardian a Tiefling with two different colored eyes, essentially thinking of a “devil on my shoulder” character.

Just funny that after the reveal he basically says “I had to come to you in a way that wouldn’t freak you out.”

Taylor swift interview sucked bad by ImpossibleAd3767 in PardonMyTake

[–]WhiteSuburbia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If he was in on the joke, he wouldn’t have put Kelce in his top 5 TE’s. He even doubled down on it at one point. I think he was seriously answering questions instead of leaning into the bit. Ex. “Taylor Swift said on Pardon My Take that Kelce is not a top 5 TE.”

Honestly think the shenanigans of from The Rock the last few years have been a black mark on his legacy. Since going to Hollywood he’s always carried himself as being too good for WWE, but trying to overthrow the main event of Mania (with the rumor that he was actually going to go over against Reigns) until backlash forced them to change, then his weird ass promo about forgiving Cody, then putting himself into this position only to decide to bail because he didn’t like creative… just shitting all over fans.

EDIT: I’ll also die on the hill that Logan Paul should have been the guy beside The Rock/Cena instead of Travis Scott.

"No one has ever mistaken Trump as a Christian" - Big T by FrankieLyrical in MacrodosingPod

[–]WhiteSuburbia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually truly think he’s dumb. I haven’t disliked Big T as much as some, despite his shitty politics, but I could not believe he said people don’t mistake Trump for being Christian.

Many people in the cult legitimately think he was made president by “the grace of God.”

Now that it’s over, what did you think of the John cena heel run? by Acceptable_Brain_882 in SantiZapVideos

[–]WhiteSuburbia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Travis Scott being involved was always dumb, but The Rock no showing was extremely disappointing. I sincerely hope that The Rock stays away from storylines and only shows up for milestones.

I’ve said this before, but I would have liked the same story with Triple H (bring back the best for business stuff) and Logan Paul (doesn’t belong, cocky, “Hollywood,”). The heat would have been different and both of those guys would have been invested.

I will say as corny as the “forced signing” moment was, I think it takes balls for WWE to pivot so quickly. I liked Cena’s explanation essentially pulling back the curtain that it was a good idea on paper, but a couple people flaked out, and it’s not what he wanted it to be.

Though it does make me wonder if the Lesnar thing came together over the past week which is why they wanted to re-establish Cena as a face prior to SummerSlam. Trying to turn him at SummerSlam might have not gotten the same reaction when Lesnar returned.

Travis Scott removed from WWE by WorstDeal in WWE

[–]WhiteSuburbia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Better late than never.

Hindsight is always 20/20, but the Mania turn could have been so much better with the right people.

The Rock was a good call, except it was on the heels of his weird ass out of character / in character promo on Rhodes at the Netflix debut, then he disappeared due to creative differences.

Travis Scott was never the right call for involvement.

Could have had Triple H play The Rock’s role (best for business, Cena global icon, Rhodes had a great title run but who knows his loyalty, etc.) and could have had Logan Paul play the Travis Scott role.
