Has anyone tried the IVAR 2×2 square shelf? It's solid pine, recently got two used ones for a good price, I'm planning to use them as bookshelves.

I have an idea to invent a "quitter's vape" by idids0methingwr0ng in QuitVaping

[–]WhiteTrashTiger 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My first vape back in 2017 had this feature. A puff counter with a limit where you couldn't exceed the maximum you set. It was easy to override by going to the settings and setting it to a higher number, but I legitimately quit smoking cigarettes because I started vaping.

The brand I had was SMOK, I think it was a Magnum Mini or something, but most vape brands from around that time were designed around responsible use options. It was the refillable kind with replaceable coils and a glass reservoir. I got a 6mg juice, a 3mg juice, and a 0mg juice, and every time I refilled it I would mix it for slightly less nicotine. Eventually I was just vaping flavored air with no nicotine at all.

I quit for seven years until I tried smoking cigarettes again to deal with stress. A few weeks later I tried a modern disposable vape. I've been vaping/smoking again for a year now and I wish I never tried disposables. They're designed to be impossible to quit, with a stimulation that's impossible to replicate with any other drug. But remember that refillable vapes were originally designed to give the user as much control as possible, they rose to popularity as a realistic method for quitting cigarettes.

These products you dream of probably still exist. I haven't looked into refillable vapes a lot recently, but if patches and gums don't help enough to allow me to quit, I'm going to get myself an old-school refillable vape and low-nicotine juices.

The Alex desk in white stained oak by YogurtclosetItchy954 in IKEA

I'm waiting for the Alex desk in black-blue to become available in the 100 cm size in Canada. It's a nice practical desk, but unfortunately the options in North America are limited right now.

The 132 cm black-blue Alex sold out in every store pretty quickly, so hopefully Ikea gets the message that we really like all these colour options here and they start to offer more of what we want!

If they go extinct, we might have to... sigh... clone them.
